September and Our First Anniversary

September as been so wild for us!!! We started school a week before this month and have been so busy with homework, work, and school that we hardly get to get out that much. We are already at mid-terms! I can't believe I've been in school for over six weeks now. This next week I start my math class. Hopefully it's going to be easy. We also are pretty much unpacked here and everything.

I also gotten to know my teachers....I have a problem with one of them but hopefully it goes away soon. I've learned a lot of new recipes and when I get a chance I'll put them on the family page or everyone can just email/call me. Or if there is a recipe that you really want I bet I can get my hands on it for you. This next week I get to deal with red wines...I'm sick of all the alcohol that I have to smell. Sometimes I just want to leave when they do that...I can't smell anything as it is and I don't think I'm going to sell any alcohol at my pastry shop. By the way...I think I've written this but when we do the wines, everyone just gets drunk and I hate the fact that one of my teachers doesn't like it that I don't taste them.

This last week as been long. We had a gas leak, no heater, no water pressure, one car and we also gotten a calling. On Tuesday, we closed all the windows because it was really cold and raining. When we got home from school we smelled gas...and we had no heat. Logan called them on Wednesday and it happen to be freezing and raining that same day when we don't happen to have heat or hot water. On Monday, I went to pick up Logan from work and on the way back from Sears, I notice that something was wrong with his car... When we got home we saw that the car was leaking and the bottom gasket was broken so we had to work our days out with my car because there was no way we could move the car without any transmission fluid.

We got to see my dad this week. I always happy to see him. When we was visiting with him, he told us that he may be retiring this year at 47. (For those that don't know, he had to get two bypasses in January). It so weird to think of that....he's so young to be doing that. He also when to a Dallas Cowboys game in the new stadium in Texas with my brother Korey. They had a lot of fun. This month Korey got his mission call...he's going to go to North Washington D.C.. It's going to be hard for me because we both are now talking more to each other. He leaves in a month...Nov. 4th. I'm going to cry so much!!! But then again he's going to be in the Lord's hands so I know he will be fine and I'll get to write him every week letting him know what's going on with us.Korey is finishing getting ready for his mission...let's see...the last time I talked to him he had bought over a thousand dollars for most of his mission stuff. He still has a few things to get. I'm so proud for him. Cale is doing great in school and Football and he just turn 17 on the 13th. His has decided to become an EMT. Char is doing ok...he's not doing well in school but he's still hanging on. Brooke has great grades and she's on Cross Country. She has lost so much weight! Also this last month she got Swine flu...as far as the doctors know she doesn't have to worry about it. Amanda, Steve and the kids are doing great. Amanda just had a birthday on the 28th and now she is 25. Taylor and Oaklen are getting so big! Taylor is turning into a good girl and Oaklen can finally walk on his own. Shami is doing great...she's kind of mad at me at the moment because her mom and me don't get a long at all. She also just had a birthday too...she turned 12. I feel old now. Brea is still up to her boyish ways....she so sure of been a boy. My mom is the same as always...work a lot.

We went to Logan's mom's house for general conference today. It was great to see everyone! I've missed them all. We all sat in the living room and listened to the radio and cross-stitch and did homework. Yesterday, Logan and I had to go online to get conference because we couldn't get it on TV or the radio. And while we were listening we ate breakfast, pancakes and sausage.

Sorry...I would have written this one sooner but I've been really busy with school lately and a lot more stuff too. So we decided that we was going to Lagoon again since during our honeymoon we was rained on all weekend. It's so funny...to think about it, it was this very weekend that we when to Utah for it. Anyways, we also decide to take a good friend of my, Brooklin (for those who when it the wedding, she was the one singing our wedding song) and her boyfriend. The reason we decide this is because we hardly see anyone anymore. It's so hard to go to IF all the time when we're always, busy. Anyways, we had a blast! We got up early on the 19th around 5:30 am to make it to Lagoon when it opened. Brooklin met up with us right before we left and we met Brett (Brooklin's boyfriend) at Lagoon. We was there all day long from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. We was so tired...I still have a raw spot on my ankle from getting wet that day. We shared so many great moments. After we got done at Lagoons, we when to Logan's grandparents and spend the night there. In the morning, we ate and than left for home because Logan had to work at 1:15.

Wine Tasting in School For White Wines

So, in my Wines, Beers, and Spirits class, we were tasting white wines(but I didn't). Most of the class was really enjoying this because...hey! They get free wine. But the point of tasting the white wines was to see how something can smell so different from it tastes(which I won't know and I dont' want to know). We also learned how to present it to customers and stuff. I never did the presenting to someone but someone presented it to me. It was Billy (which she is a great person, and she's funny too), but she knew that I wasn't tasting the wines so she said it wasn't going to be as fun. Always, from when the first wine was open until when I got out of the class room I felted sick it smelled so bad. We was suppose to smell the five different wines and see what they smelled like but all I smelled was the alcohol. I guess it's a good thing the I don't drunk. At the end of class, Billy had bet five dollars if Jake (another kid from the classes)drink the a cup with all the wines combine and he did! I just kept on watch everyone get giggly and drunk...yes. Some actually got drunk from just drinking a little bit. Anyways, on Thursday we're suppose to be doing red wines or something like that. I think I may see if I can skip that. I really don't want to get sick again. It was nasty!

June & July 2009

In June, we moved to Pocatello and have enjoyed it the whole time. We live at the Katsilometes Courts at 695 N. 7th Ave Apt 9, Pocatello, ID 83201. We still haven’t finished unpacking yet because we’ve been so busy with work and getting ready for school. We love the apartments…they seems so open. We have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen with a bar, dining room and living room. I’ve yet to use the front door…Logan has used it a few times. We love the fact that we get two spots to plant whatever we want. We’ve not planted anything yet…we are waiting for the fall, so we can plant some iris. I’m so excited!!
Logan has gotten a job down here at Sears in the Pine Ridge Mall. He is enjoying this job as much as his last job. He works in the electronics department. He’s actually quite good at what he does and the job doesn’t make him work all the time which I’m grateful for. He still has a job up in Idaho Falls with the engineering lab for ISU, which he only works once or twice a week. I’m still working at the Aquatic Center in Idaho Falls up until the end of the month. Also I’ve been coaching a swim team for the last two months. They did a great job, but unfortunately my team was the one that ended up having a lot of my kids gone for both of the meets. But they almost took 2nd place for them both. I’ve applied at the aquatics in Reed’s Gym and as yet to hear from the lady who is in charge. She went on vacation when I turned in my application. If I don’t get the job, I plan on applying at some other places. Hopefully I will get a job soon or I won’t be able to get a job.
My family has been good. Earlier this month, our nephew, Oaklen, turned one on 4th of July. He got so spoiled and so did my niece in a way. He got a lot of clothes…I think he had plenty to last him up to two years for the summer. Taylor, our niece, is growing up so fast! She’s still in the middle of her terrible twos at the age of three, but I’ve been talking to her mom, (my sister Amanda) and she is starting to get over them. Amanda has been having some health trouble ever since her miscarriage and the doctors don’t really know why either at the moment. Korey turned in his papers for his mission and now he is waiting for his cal which we are all excited for! Shami and Breanna have been having a great summer. They have been to Lagoon a few times and camping many times. My father has been at work for quite a while now. He’ll be getting back in state on August 17. I’m not sure what he does while he has nothing to do while at work but he as a blast at the casino in Nevada that he is near. Mom has been doing great. Cale has been working for the whole summer to make money so he can play football in the fall for Idaho Falls High School’s Football Team. Char took Driver’s Ed this summer and just finished. I’m not sure if he passed or not but it sure scares me to think that he will be driving soon. My mom and Cale just got a new red nose pit bull dog and she is so much like her father, Shilo who lives with them and there may be a chance that my mom will be getting Bristle who is the mom. Brooke has been playing a lot with her friends and hanging out with me when I’m off and in town. We have two family reunions coming up on the 1st weekend of August up in Black Tail Lake and one in September down in Nampa. Logan and I are planning on going to Lagoon on August 22nd with one of my friends and with Cale, Char and Brooke. The kids have never been there so we decide it would be fun to take them there for a summer vacation.
We wanted to thank everyone who came to the funeral and supporting us through it. It meant a lot to us all and we enjoyed seeing everyone there, too.

4th of July

Today has been a long day. At the beginning of the day, we had my nephew’s (Oaklen’s) first Birthday party to go at his grandparent’s house outside of Idaho Falls. We got busy working on the house this morning and lost track of time and ended up being an hour and some minutes, it kind of suck. He was so spoiled! I’ve never seen so many baby clothes in my life plus he’s gotten so big! I’m really going to enjoy watching him grow up. Something else suck too…I didn’t really get to see Oaklen for myself. I kind of got upset for it but then again I’ll get to see him sometime soon…hopefully. After his birthday party, we went to Logan’s mom’s house. When we got there, Kaitlin and Nathan were there. About five or ten minutes after being there we went outside and play a game. As we played the game we notice that some black clouds where coming and then we heard thunder. As soon as we finished the game it started to rain. We went back inside and talked about some things. Right after that, we decide to leave to see my mom and this really annoyed me. Logan turned around and helped out his mom when he could do it when we was going to leave. That annoys me so much. I hate the fact that we was going to spend more time with his family while I have not seen my since we moved. Anyways, I didn’t talk to him the whole way to my mom’s because I was so annoyed. I went to my mom’s and made a flag cake for mom and everyone. After this we was going to go to the river so we can watch the fireworks. So far, it has been pretty good today and I'm happy with that.

Korey's Birthday Party May 16, 2009

This last Saturday, Korey (one of my brothers), had a birthday party and he didn't get what he wanted but he had a blast! Before the party, we cleaned the house first and than we toke all of the chairs and couches into the garage so that they won't trash up dad's new couchs. He wanted the whole house to be packed full so that it was harded to move around. He had speakers every where...3 upstairs, 2 downstairs and 2 outside on the house. Well, we had people come but only a few at a time. We even had people come from Shelley. Anyways, we had some more come and go. Towards the end of the night, we started to play night games and logan and I got to play too. When it was my turn to hind in one of the games, it toke them ten minutes before the first one could find me and when everyone found all of us it toke thirty minutes. It was so funny! That just keep walking pass me and didn't even think to looked down on the floor. After we got done with this game we when on to the next and in the middle of that game, someone got someone wet and started a water fight in the front living room! It was so funny! One of the girls at the party kept getting really wet by one of the guys and so she asked me where were the bowls so I got the water pitcher, she filled it up and soaked the guy! It was all pretty funny to watched. But once that was done, people started going home so we called it a night and when home.

Trip to Utah

We had a recent visit to Salt Lake City, Utah (April 17th –April 20th) with a friend of mine from high school that I’ve not been able to see for a while. She was flying out to Arizona to see some family members. We went to Temple Square for about half a day before we went to see some of my friends that played on a band named Allred in Provo for the releasing of another CD. We had planned on doing baptisms at the Salt Lake Temple but we got caught up with everything else that’s on Temple Square…and it was Brooklin’s and my first time. We got a tour of the Conference Center, we ate at The Lion House for lunch and we visited The North Visitors Center. We also got to see Grandma and Grandpa Gilbert and Susan. We also visited Brooklin’s (my friend) Grandparents that live in Sandy and Ogden. We also went to her see her Uncle’s retirement/releasing party from the Utah National Guard. It was on the National Guard base by the Salt Lake Airport. It was a great experience. We also saw some of her friends while there too.
