Been So Long

Wow, I can't believe that life has been so busy and it's taken me this long to even write anything. The last time I wrote in here was in May. There has been so many things happening for us. Some not so good and some as been an adventure.

Let's see..at the end of May, we ended up adopting a dog so that Aeris would have someone to play with so I could get stuff done around the house instead of always playing with her. The dog we adopted is named Layla, she is a full bred german sheppard but the smaller bred. She is only a month older then Aeris is. She is very much like a guard dog. She doesn't play as much as Aeris does and she is always on guard even if she is laying down or if she is just watching me doing stuff. We got her from the Pocatello pound. She is very sweet and loves meeting new people now. Layla didn't really like Aeris at first but that's only because she just got fixed and was very sore. But now they are best friends!

June...nothing much happen. We was adjusting to having two dogs around the house and making sure that they got a long. We worked on the garden a lot. It is now finish. We laid the bricks for the walk way and it looks really nice now. I keep getting comments about it and how good it is. Oh...Cale, Allyssa and Bryson where also in town.

July...there was the fireworks. We actually had a family bbq at our house. We invited everyone from my side of the family over. Afterwards, we watched the fireworks at the soccer fields and then held our own show. It was a lot of fun. I got to spend a lot of time with Cale, Allyssa, and little Bryson. The weekend afterwards Oaklen had a birthday party. This time he had gotten one of those huge blown up watersides. It was a lot of fun. The week and a half later I found out that my grandma was in the hospital and no one knew she was there the for 4 days. She was there because she didn't keep up on her diagnosis. She spent the rest of the month there trying to get her body from breaking down.

August...My grandma's condition was then realize...it was much worst then what the doctors had thought. She needed to get a heart valve transplant because the diagnosis had caused so much calcification that the valve wasn't working the right way.  The heart doctor recommend that we sent my grandma to SLC for heart surgery or she would died within a month to 6 months. She decided to go for it and was transfer around for a while until after the surgery was performed. We call and checked up on her a lot. While this was going on, I ended up getting pregnant again but lost it without realizing that I had gotten pregnant until afterwards. In a way, I am thankful that it didn't happen like the last time.

September...on the 3rd we rushed down to SLC because we was told that my grandma was worst to the point that she was on life support. When we got there, we found out that she was doing really well. Hardly had her oxygen mask on. Let's just say, I was not happy at all with everything and the mix messages that we was getting. So we meet with the doctor and the case manager and decided that we wanted Grandma to come home asap. We then told my mom and her siblings what was really going on. After meeting with the doc and case manager, we went and talked to grandma for a while and my mom and uncle talked to her. We stay for a little bit longer before heading home. That Saturday night, she passed away. I spent a lot of the time helping my mom put the funeral together and putting together her life sketch as best as possible. The next saturday we held a graveside services for her and I gave her life sketch. I was happy she wasn't in any pain anymore but it hurt to see her go. Due to my grandma passing, we didn't do anything for our anniversary. The rest of the  month didn't have anything going on.

October...Shami turn 17 this year. She didn't really do anything for her birthday but we did get her a present. Followed soon afterwards was Brooke's 18th birthday. A week later I found Opa had to be rushed to the hospital early in the month  because he thought he had kidney stones. When in to surgery and had his gallbladder taken out along with some stones but the ones that where causing all the pain they couldn't get to. So Opa had to wear a bag while they flushed his liver and panaceas clean to remove the stone for about 3 weeks before they came out. The doctors then tested the stones. At the end of the month, we was told that Opa had liver cancer and it was spending to his panaceas pretty fast and there was nothing that they could do. So we spend as much time with Opa as were could.  On the 27th, Brooke and Grayson got married thru the courts so that he could be back in time for they wedding. It's was really weird reason but it had to be done. I ended up being one of the witnesses (Grayson father was the other one).

November...Korey flied back at the begin of the month. We was up at the house almost nightly. It was hard to see Opa getting ready to pass as the days went by. The first friday night, we went up on the hill to see him like we usually did when things took a turn for a worst. It hit me really hard, so hard that I didn't want to leave him. A lot of the my male cousins, uncles and Logan gave Opa a blessing. My own mother came up soon afterwards and took me out of the room after getting chewed out by Opa (it was pretty funny. That was the most that Opa talk that night). Soon afterwards, we went home. I was very much tired and had a lesson to finish to prepare for my primary class. After church the next day, Korey and Logan was acting strange until I figured out that Opa had passed around 3 and gotten a text from my dad about it. We then held his funeral the following Saturday. Korey got to tell half of Opa's life sketch. I had never cried so hard since I lost my great grandpa brown when I was 7 or 8. I still cry over the fact that Opa is no longer here but I know he is happy. The same day as the funeral, Mom had a Thanksgiving Dinner at her house because Grayson was heading out to Boot Camp and wasn't going to be here until around christmas then would be back until June. Thanksgiving Day was spend at Logan's Mom's house with all of Logan's siblings and nieces. It was a nice change of pace for us. Our cute little nieces were growing so fast and getting prettier by the day. We helped put up Barbara's (Logan's mom) christmas stuff. The next day we when back over and had our Christmas day with them and opened presents. From Katlin and Nathan, we ended up going out and eating dinner on them and Logan's Mom took all the siblings and couples to The Forgotten Carols (which by the way was Logan and my first time to see it). I told Logan that we should look into going ever year to it.

That is pretty much what has happen up to December. The only thing that has been done this month was putting up our christmas tree. This week is the Gilbert's Christmas Party and in another week will be Katlin's and Nathan's wedding anniversary along with Oma's birthday.

Well now you are back up to day. More to come soon.

Another Niece!

We got another little niece recently. Carolyn and Joseph had their baby on April 11.

Meet Rosalie Ellen De Luca
7lb 13oz and 20 1/2 inches

We wasn't able to go see the day that she was born due to being so busy at home building a garden. We did end up seeing her the 27th. We made a day trip to Ogden to see them all.  Sadly I wasn't able to hold her a lot because I just got done being sick and I would hate myself if I got her sick when she was so little but Logan got to hold her for a while. She mostly slept the whole time we was there. She got her looks from the De Luca Family but her hair is from her mom.

Here are the pictures that we took while we was there. She is such a cutie. I can't wait to see her again.

Another Nephew!

I just got another nephew and he looks so much like both of his parents. At first I though he looked more like Cale but the next day I got a picture and he looks like both of them now. Isn't it so funny how much a baby can change in 24 hours?

Anyways, his name is Bryson Blake Hiaring. He was born on March 28th. He was 7 lb 5 oz and 19 inches long.

Isn't my nephew so cute/handsome! I can't wait to see him in the summer! Congrats again Cale and Allyssa!

Daxton Otto Danklefsen

I would like to announce that my handsome little nephew has finally come. This is Korey's and Stefanie's little boy. He looked a lot like Korey besides the fact that he doesn't look like a hairy ape as Korey did when he was born. There was a lot of family waiting there during the c-section. When we first saw him no one knew if he was the right baby. Brook even asked if it had a penis? Really? It was pretty funny at the time. Anyways, has soon as we was told that it was little Dax we all rushed to the window and started to take lots of pictures.

moments into the c-section

We had to wait a little wait for Stefanie to get comfortable after the c-section and do Dax's first feeding before we was able to come and see the whole new family.
Korey introducing the new family member to all the family there.

Unfortunately I was having a hard time about this point due to the miscarriage and wanted my own little miracle. And to top it off there was just so many people there that I just waited until it start clearing out (actually Korey came and got me and told me to come in). When Logan and I walked in there Korey told Shami to hand over the baby to me and Logan. I do have to say that little man sure did wake up my mother instincts. Moments after getting him, he just stare in the direction of my face (I know that babies can't really see at this point) and I felt like we bonded right there. After Logan took my picture and I handed him off to Logan. I wanted to see him hold another infant in his arms. (I have always loved seeing Logan hold a new born infant. He's just so gentle and in a way it lets me know somewhat what he will look like when we have our own.)

Logan's first time holding little Dax

Logan did hold him for too long because Stefanie's sisters came in at that point so we handed him off too them. I do have to say that this little man sure was a blessing to all of us that day. I can't wait to see what he turns out like.

One day off little Dax

2 Becomes 3

Our family has grown to 3  members! I would like all of you to meet the newest member:

Aeris

I've been wanting to get a puppy for a long time and I can finally get one without worrying about paying a huge deposit for apartment. It's going to be a lot of work but we are loving her just like she was our child.

Anyways, Aeris was born on April 23, so she is just over 8 weeks. She is an Alaskan Shepard...half malamute and half german shepard. We got her in Blackfoot a little over a week ago on the 8th.at the time she was 6 weeks and so tiny! Now she sleeps so much that she has grown so big. When she's not asleep she is so much fun to play with. She loves to run, hop around (yes...just like a rabbit)and prances Charlie (my sister's male chihuahua) all the time. We've only heard her bark much...maybe 3 times at the most. When she panics she howls a lot...I am guessing she got that from her mother (mother was the malamute) along with her talking habits. She's had a hard time with potty training but is getting so much better now that she is understanding words now. Besides that, she is well behave...She doesn't really act like she is a puppy. She is very mature for her age and she won't go far from me when we are outside or some place else. Most of the time she just sits or lays right next to my legs.

Here is a video of Aeris playing with Charlie.

You will also see in this video that she has learned a tricked...walked the dog....literally. ^-^

Our BIG News

In the beginning of May I announced on Facebook that we had an announcement but it would have to wait until more towards the end of the month. Well, here is what it is:

WE BROUGHT A HOUSE!!!

I am so happy about this big event in our lives! It feels so good that we can move on with our lives now. I mean...I know that there are still more things that can change our lives but with the house we will have enough room when we start having kids which is great!

The house is really cute! It's a five bedrooms, BIGGER kitchen, BIGGER dinning room, living room, 2 bathrooms, a master suite with it's own bathroom with 2 sinks. To top it off, the basement isn't all the way finish! So we can finish the way we want too. We can even add on another bedroom if needed. It's a two car garage but it seems small but always. Let's just say we knew we love it when we walked in the house. The only bad thing about it was the small backyard but to make it better there is a huge (and I mean HUGE) park down at the beginning of the street with 8 soccer fields and a small kids park.

We had some trouble with getting everything to get from one person to another one while we was in Italy during the middle of this but it worked!

Bridal Shower with Baker Family

I went to a bridal shower yesterday. It was kind of weird and great at the same time.

The weird part of it is because I don't really know Kala's family all that much (Daniel's finance) or in fact her. But I did find out that she likes a lot of things that I like. ^-^ It was really hard for me to remember everyone's names. There were a lot of unique names.

We had fun games and everything. I haven't been to many of these for a while. But I was really surprised when I saw one of my good friend's mom walk in. I was stock. I haven't seen her for a few years. It was so good to see her again.

There were also lots of pies there...not so great for someone who is going on a cleanse here in a few days but I decided to have one just because of that reason. There were also chocolate cover strawberries and a veggie dish with pink lemon and water. I mostly eat the strawberries because they were so huge!

In the end it was really fun meeting everyone and playing the games.

Carolyn's Graduation

Yesterday we went to Utah for Carolyn's graduation. It was a lot of fun going there and seeing her talk in the ceremony and visit with family.

The day started with Logan getting up 20 minutes before he had to leave. I was still asleep pretty much for the first 10 minutes after I woke up. Soon after I woke up all the way I notice that Logan had forgotten some thing and left a lot of things that needed to be done. I had gotten them all done and was about to head over to Barbara's until I notice that I still haven't done my make-up. ^-^ So I ran back inside and did it really quick.

I got to Barbara's house at 9. I helped her get the things into the car and make sure the house was locked up. Afterwards we headed to Pocatello to pickup Logan after his class and than head towards Utah. We talked a lot on the way there. Logan also got a very good surprise...but I will leave that for another post.

We got there in time to go eat lunch at subway but it was so packed full that we decided to pretty much wait until dinner besides Logan. He had to eat something due to the fact that he skipped breakfast. So we went back to the college and Logan grabbed some snack bars that were sold there. We than headed for Temple Square. I was happy that we had came back to it. I sure missed it's beauty. Anyways, the graduation ceremony was being held in the old tabernacle building. I have never been in there but it was still just as breathe taking as another building on or by Temple Square.

Right before it started, Logan went our in front of the building to wait for everyone else that was coming while Barbara and I was both saving a spot for everyone. Soon after that, Barbara talked about how is was so excited about how Carolyn was speaking. I was so surprised! I didn't know. Than Logan came back and I told him and he said he knew too! It was on the invited...I was so embarrassed. Right before it started we was able to find Joseph and his family but not Logan's grandparents and aunt. The ceremony was very touching to me...I felt the spirit really well in there. When Carolyn got in there to give her talk I notice that she didn't have her speech on paper but instead she was speaking without it! I so surprised! Later I found out that she was reading off you speech from the broadcast screen. When I look at it it looks like it was just used so the lights didn't get in the people's face. I guess I was wrong. ^-^ After the ceremony, we was able to find Logan's grandparents. They were sitting on the other side of the building.

We finished at the building with some family pictures with Carolyn than off to Denny's. I was surprised that they had changed their menu a lot. There was actually a lot of choices that I could actually pick without worry. After dinner, Logan and I went and saw his grandparents for a while and than headed home.

The funniest and scariest thing about this whole trip is that Logan got us lost on the way home!! Instead of taking the road that heads towards Malad and Pokey, he took the Boise route...he didn't notice until I started panicking because I didn't remember any of the names that we was passing. But we did get home safely about 1 o'clock in the morning. ^-^

More post to come soon. ^-^

Another Death in the Family

There was another death in the family. I was so shocking to hear. More because I didn't think that he would pass plus he wasn't that old. But I guess things happen for a reason.

My (mom's) uncle died on Monday soon after going into a coma. Hours later after he went into a coma, he had a heart attack. He was just 68 years old. Most of the people in my mom's side of the family live every long lives...I guess Uncle Ralph wasn't supposed to. I always looked forward to seeing him and aunt Dorothy during the holidays. I love how they would always tease me and talk to me as if I matter a great deal. I helped out with the funeral a little bit. I put together some poems for Shantell for Ralph and Dorothy. Yes, I know that there is a spelling error but it's fine. Here are the pictures:

His funeral service was done by Wood's Funeral Home. I know the family a little bit and I am sure happy that my aunt decided to do it with them. Anyways, the services lasted two days. The viewing itself was the night before he was buried on Friday. The following morning, Saturday morning, we had the funeral services at the Wood's Funeral Homes on Elm St. It was pretty full. There were a lot of people standing in the back of the chapel. It was also pretty funny too. After the services, we found them up to Ririe-Shelton Cemetery where Great Grandpa and Grandma was buried. The Military Rites was performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.

I cried really hard in silence while we was at the burial site for him. I know that I will always miss him but now he is with Great Grandpa and Grandma along with Vera (my great aunt). I know he is happy now.

And to top it all, the day Uncle Ralph got buried was my Mom's birthday. I've never seen her cried so hard during a funeral service besides Great Grandma.

Treatment Plan

I know I haven't been up to date with my health conditions and fertility treatment. Well, for round 3 of clomid was a no and along with round 4. Here I am about to start round 5 and I have a feeling that it won't work either. Well, let's just say I can tell you it's not working for me. Every since I started the Metformin again I can't sleep hardly at all...I have no energy to do anything. As for the Provera (which induces my period) has made very period since on it 10 times worst. I always get really bad back pain...like when you get before a miscarriage and most days it won't go away until my period stops. As far as I know the Clomid is working but side effects. I get heat flashes, headaches and more things. I am tired of medicine and how they only take care of symptoms instead of the actually problem and always making me sick in someway.

So I have decided to go back to Dr. Wheeler and let her know that I just want to start over. I want to go back to the beginning of my beginning treatment plan that I had gotten pregnant on. Well, most of it. I don't want to be on any medicine anymore unless it is a huge need. I have already been working on my eating habits. I am been lacking in the department of exercising due to the fact that I have a lot of stress on me right now and we don't really have the money to do what I was doing.

I also want to try out natural progesterone cream...I think that my body isn't producing enough of progesterone (it is the hormone that helps you have your period, release your egg during ovulation and maintain pregnancy). I looked up about low progesterone and it symptoms and I have about 3/4 of what the list had to say. It is also common that after you get pregnant and have the child hormones get better and fix themselves. In a way it will be annoying that this is all I have to do. So here is what I want or need to do for the next two to three months.

1. I have an appointment with Dr. Wheeler on the 4th. She wants to talk about what the specialist has decided to do and I want to do to talk her about my decision. I will probably also ask for a progesterone test to be done. I want to know it that is the cause of everything because it will be easier to fix instead of all these things that I have been doing. Along with trying the NPC (natural progesterone cream), I want to see if there is anything else I can do to help the progesterone levels. I will also talk to her about how I feel about Dr. Leavitt.

2. I do not think I will be going back to Dr. Leavitt. He's very much into prescribing medicine for a problem instead for figuring out what is the problem. Also he said that if the clomid doesn't work that he will probably put me on a pill that helps cancer patients....I don't have cancer. I did not like that at all. I know he is a great guy and doctor but right now I need to know what is causing all these problems and to fix it so I don't have anymore miscarriages (to this date, we don't know if there as been more than the one we know about).

3. If Logan gets a job out at NRF, I will probably go see Amanda's doctor because she is a specialist in hormonal therapy (natural). Amanda has gotten so health from having her with her problem. And I am willing to go see her. I would actually go see her now but she doesn't take insurance and Logan and I do not have enough money to pay for everything that it will cost but I am going to go no matter what happens.

4. Again, if Logan gets the job, I want to do a juicing cleanse and then eat raw food for 21 days. In doing this I am hoping to jump start my body's system naturally and not cause it so much pain anymore. I am hoping that Logan will also do this with me because it's hard to do something like this alone plus it will be great for his health too. If dad is still living with us maybe I can talk him in doing it too. Who knows. I am actually get lucky.

5. For some miracle, if I get pregnant on medicine that I am on now or the NPC than that's great but I will be seeing Amanda's doctor. I am tried of being sick and not being able to control it either.

So pretty much I will eat healthy like I have been, start exercising again no matter what and come off the medicine. I just hope this works because I am going to be an aunt again but I was hoping to have a child before them...and no, it's not Amanda. I am just going to work on getting healthy like I did before. The best part of this all is that Logan is still willing to help and listen to me. He's the best guy friend and husband I will ever have.

What's New with Logan and I

This post won't be long but I thought I would let you know how things are going for Logan and his job search and school. I've kind of been not doing much due to the suspend of him and how well he is going to do.

Logan is positive on that he will be graduating this semester. There was a chance that he wasn't gong to be able to but now he will. He has been working his butt off to graduate. I would be doing the same thing. He says that he may be able to finish his thesis her at the end of March but if not he will have to have it done by April 10 because he has to finish editing it and what-not before you shows it to the professors. He's at 200 pages and it is looking like he may finish with 250+.

As for his job searching...he has one interview on March 6 which last all day long because it's at NRF at the INL. He has also applied multiple times at the site too but since the INL is laying people off he started to look else where. We are so hoping that he gets this job. The pay is good and we gett great benefits which we really could use right now. Anyway, he has applied at many jobs and only gotten two reply back and that was in Pullman and it was a no and the interview that he has this coming Wednesday.

As for Logan, all he has been doing is pretty much school, homework, thesis, eating and sleeping. Yep...that's all he does. I really wish it wasn't truth but it is. I just hoping this passing soon because things need to be done and I need his help on somethings.

As for me, I am looking into photography school or online classes for it. I also plan on talking to someone I know about it and seeing what the best option is for me. I am hoping that it would be better not to go get another degree and if it is I may just take online class at eitc for cheap. I am also looking into working a little here and there so that Logan doesn't have worry as much about money and can have more time for thesis. I also have some wedding cakes to do this year. Here in a month I will have one and than 3 weeks later I have another one to make.

As now that's what's going on with us...nothing much right now. Here in a month I will be able to post more on how things are going for us and if Logan got that job at the INL. Also on the cakes, mom moving to her new house and getting ready for Italy.

Great Grandma's Death

My life couldn't get any harder than it has now. Infertility, family drama (much more than I like), 3rd round of clomid, and now my great grandma has died. Trial after trial...but right now I am  so tired. Anyways, on with the story.

It start around on my birthday. I think I said it on the last post but I'll say it again. I was told that I needed to go to a infertility specialist...a few hours later I was called by my grandma and she told me that great grandma was dying...her heart was giving out. I don't think I was fulling prepare for something like that. I had a lot going on with me at the moment and just hearing that made my whole out look on things when from ok to very bad in seconds. Anyways, I spent most of the week prepare for her funeral. Great Grandma died on the 30th at 5 am in the morning. I had gotten the called from Uncle Ralph around 7:30 am letting me know that she had passed. I was lucky because the night before I had finish rewriting her life sketch for the funeral. Later that morning I went to Uncle Ralph and Aunt Dorothy to give them the life sketch and any help that I can do. After I got there I notice that my Uncle Albert was there too. It was so nice to see him again. Anyways, I passed sketch around to see if it was to everyone's liking. The only person who made fun of me was Albert...he loves doing that. After figuring out somethings my family when to breakfast at Perkin's. I went with them and just got a banana nut muffin because I had already ate breakfast early that morning. Most of the time I was catching up with Albert. I've not seen him since I was 18 years old. Afterwards I had to go home to take some medicine for all the cramping I was starting to get. I headed back to Aunt Dorothy because she had asked me to go with them to the funeral home to get everything arrange for the funeral. After the funeral homes we when to Staker's Flowers for the flowers. I went home after that...I never been so tired in such a long time.

For the next few days I communicated with the funeral home for the program and newspaper. That Friday, we bury great grandma right by Great grandpa's grave. At the end of the viewing, Stefanie and I got to put the veil on great grandma before closing the coffin. That what really made me cry alot...along with Korey getting the graveside ready for great grandma. Dad came to the graveside service because he was fashionable late...like always. ^-^

I am very happy that Great Grandma is now with Vera and Great Grandpa even tho I am still missing her a lot just like Great Grandpa.

Weekend In Cali

Last weekend we made a quick trip to San Jose to visit Nathan, Katlin and the girls. It was a lot of fun. We left Friday night and came back on Monday night.

We ended up getting there an hour later than plan due to the fact that the flight was late getting here and they had forgotten to de-iced the wings on the plane. I felt really bad due to the fact that we got there an hour late because Nathan and Natalie came to put us up from the air port. Natalie was so tired...but she still talked to me half way back to their place.

Saturday was kind of an adventure for Logan and I. Most people know that Logan loves having fishes around him. He's always been amazing with marine life. Lucky for him, we got to go to the aquarium in Monterey, CA. We made a day trip out of it and rented a van so we could all fit in one vehicle. Before we went to the aquarium, we had lunch at Bubba Gump. I don't know how many of you remember Forest Gump but it comes from that movie. It was all about shrimp of course so I prayed that they would have fish or some type of chicken dish considering that I hate shrimp. I really enjoyed the aquarium. They had so many fish and marine life there. They even had fish there that was bigger than I was! I think my favorite part of the whole thing was the seahorses. They were so neat!

Afterwards we went home and ate. After my niece, Natalie, finished her ice cream cone she and her baby sister (Emily) were suppose to take baths so I helped Kat with the girls while Logan got some time with his brother. While I was helping Nat get undress I notice that she had a rash on both sides of her sides and middle of her back. I watched the girls while Kat when and call her sister (who is a nurse) and asked her some questions. After their bath, Kat gave Nat some medicine and sent her to bed.

The next morning the rash had gotten worse and had travel onto her face and neck. Kat and Nathan both decided it was time to see the doctor and a blessing. So for most of the day, Logan and I walked around their apartments and when and looked at Nathan work (he builds apartments). By the begin of nighttime, they came back. She was doing fine and Emily, who at the time was sick too had a treatment for her lungs. We decided than that we should probably stay home but we had planned on going to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner...lucky, they do take out.

Overall, I had a lot of fun with them. I really enjoyed getting my mind off of the stupid waiting game that I am in. Anyways, here are some pictures from the aquarium trip. ^-^

My Birthday

I never thought that I would spend most of the day of my birthday doing something like this. Anyways, here is the story.

One of my little sisters needed to switch schools from Bonneville to IF and the only one that could help out was me. We checked her out of Bonneville last Friday and went to see if IF was open that day to so that when school started yesterday, she could just go to classes there. Well, the office was closed so we had to wait until yesterday (my birthday) to do it.

So we got to the school about 11 o'clock yesterday and started the process...and let me tell you. I will never let my kids transfer schools unless we move out of town or state! It's such a pain to do. Anyways, we walked into the counselor office and come to find out that we need to get: copy of the release, shots, grades, any type of bill for address confirmation, and a note from Mom. So we ran back to the other school and got everything that we needed there, ran to my Mom's work so she could fill out paper work to get Brooke into school and the note and than ran back to Mom's house to get Brooke's shot records. We than waited until IF was done with their lunch hour before going back to the school.

When we got back, we had to wait for a lady to put Brooke into the system so she could go finish getting everything done. While we waited the secretary started lecturing Brooke about her grades. To let you know what was going on was that Bonneville got all these new teachers there now and most of them don't know exactly how to teach it to the kids which led Brooke get back grades. And it didn't help that the school just put her in honor classes without asking her either. She tried to change them at the beginning of the year but they wouldn't let me. Anyways, the lady came back and got Brooke into the system and sent us to the 9th-grade counselor. This part was the longest of the whole day!

The counselor was so confused on her credits that he tried to talk my sister into going back to Bonneville which Brooke and I both said no. Then he told her that she will need to got to night school until the 3rd trimester...Brooke and I both looked at each other and thought really?? We then told him no again and so he started to put together her schedule which he had so much trouble with that too! He finally called for one of the other counselor to help out and that one had everything figured out within 5 minutes! I will never understand some people but I do wish that they would know how to do their jobs sometime! That took a total of about 2 and half hours.

By this time Mom had got to the school and we checked to see if there was anything else that we need to do. The secretary asked mom for a copy of her license and than said that we could go get a locker and a parking pass. After finishing at the school, I had to go with Brooke and Mom over to the DMV so Brooke could take her written test for her driver license which she didn't pass, missed it by one point, and has to go back on Thursday to take it again. After that I just went home because I was so tired and hungry for food since I didn't get anything to eat besides breakfast.

When I got home I did nothing! It felt good...but now I have lots to cleaning to do and getting ready for out trip to Cali to visit Nathan, Kat and the girls for the weekend.

Christmas 2012

Christmas was a little different this year. My family decided to get together here at our place considering that my Dad is living with us for a while so he can find a new place. Also all of the siblings had gotten together and did pictures...in freezing weather.

So our Christmas really started on Sunday. I had thought of getting Dad a family photo of all his kids with their families would be nice. He had always loved the thought of doing family photos and we hadn't done one in years! We had also did photos for my Mom, Trina and Nana & Papa (some family friends that kind of adopted us into their family). We had trouble getting everyone there for the photos too, considering one of my brothers was in the Marines that wasn't going to be back until that  afternoon. We kind of winged the color scheme too. I wished we had more time to plan it a little more but all we could do was what we did. They turned out great but there was some bad ones due to the fact that my niece wasn't cooperating with us. We got the photos done in 2 hours and than we went back to my place and picked what photos we wanted give them. Here are the three photos:

For Trina and Lints (Nana and Papa)
For Dad
As for my Mom's photo...it was a pain. When we got back the actual photo from it being printed it looked so bad!! I had no clue if it was because it was from my end or Walmart's end because my computer ended up losing the edited photo. So I edited the same photo and sent it in and it came back with everyone having yellow teeth! But here is the third time...hope it works like a charm.

For Mom

After the photos were picked we went to Logan's Mom's house to plays some games with her and Nathan, Katlin and the girls. They were here for the holidays so we figured that we should get some time together with them before they have to go back to Cali for a while. We kept playing Acquire because Katlin really wanted to win, which she did on the last game.

On Monday, Logan had to work for part of the day and Dad had to go to the doctor's office for therapy for his back. As for me, I had to make dinner for that night when everyone came over (I'll post the recipe on my health blog here soon). Along with that I had to edit the photos so I could get them into the store to be printed off but I couldn't do that until I went and took some pictures for Amanda's family and this time Taylor ended up doing what we wanted her to do. Here are some of my favorites from her session.

Taylor and Oaklen

Steve and Amanda
I love how this one turn out to be.

After that I spent most of the day editing pictures so that we could get some printed off before Walmart closed for Christmas. Somehow I made it. By the time I got them in it was time for everyone to start arriving so I left Logan to host. When I got there I waited for a few minutes and when to get them...well, here is the thing. Out of the 4 orders, I only got one of them. The other three was lost in the process so I had to go back home and re-order the other three. While we waited for that, we had dinner with everyone and opened presents. About an hour before the store closed, Logan ran and got the pictures. Dad really enjoyed his family picture. He almost cried. I don't usually see him cry. But everyone was jumping Dad to see the picture because no one saw the end results.

We were supposed to go up to Oma's and Opa's for the Christmas get together but the roads were pretty bad until you got up on the hill. Amanda went home instead because of it, so Logan and I got a ride from Dad because his truck has 4-wheel drive in it. We was up there for about 2 hours. Logan and I ended up buying one of the last two clocks that Opa makes. After the party, we went home and opened presents here because Shami and Brea was being picked up at 9 in the morning. Dad also pointed out that we was opening presents at the same time as people in Germany do. It was pretty cool. In the morning the girls opened their stockings while Logan and I slept a little. (I only slept like 10 hours those 3 days.) Before the girls left, we got up to see if they enjoyed their stockings and helped them get their things together. Around 1, we headed to my Mom's for Christmas. We ate a little and opened presents. After that we went to Logan's Mom's house to open some more presents and spend more time with them. Carolyn and Joseph wasn't here this year but they said that they will be here next year.

I also have to say that I am pretty proud of myself. I only gained a pound during the holidays. ^-^

One Busy Saturday

Saturday was so busy!!! We had so much to do and things that are happening this next few months.

Let's see, the day started off wrong. Logan forgot to finished setting the alarm clock and we ended up getting up over more than an hour. We was actually cutting it to two hours too. So we got up and Logan run to the bathroom and I made breakfast for us. As soon as I finished, I hurried up and jumped in the shower myself. We was suppose to be at our church building at 9:30am but we actually didn't get there until 10 o'clock. We are in the primary. We teach the sunbeams and we was practicing for the Primary Program that was today. (Because of the Primary Program I wasn't able to go to see Kaya's Homecoming talk...I felt bad. At least she understand why). We even got out of there late because they were having trouble getting the pizza there. And I am proud to say that I did not take a piece of pizza. Logan had a piece...I let him considering he has already lost 20 lbs from the last 2 1/2 months. We got home about 1 o'clock that afternoon.

As soon as we got home, we had to start getting ready to be a the temple by 1:30. Logan's sister Amanda was getting her endowments. Before getting there, we headed to subway and had a small lunch. We got there about 15 minutes earlier than planned and found out that Logan's mom left her camera at home. So we went to her house (which is 5 minutes away from the temple) and picked it up and was soon back at the temple. By the time we got back, it was time to head in. Amanda's good friend Jason and his mom came for it. It was really nice. Every one that came was us, Barbara, Carolyn, Amanda, Jason and his mom ( don't know her name yet).  I always seems to get experiences of some type of emotions whenever I go through a session or a sealing. With the recent struggles, I ask the Lord for help but I got something so surprising that I was so happy that I was crying to the point I had snot running everywhere. I was so embarrassed!!!!

I was able to clean up and was the last one out. As soon as we got out of the temple we took a few pictures for the experience. Amanda again told us about how her mom said to take a few pictures of us (Logan's Mom is always the one taking the pictures....so when we heard about this we were all surprised). Afterwards, we (Jason, Amanda, Carolyn, Barbara, Logan and I) went to Apple bee's for dinner. Later, Barbara dropped off Jason and ran to the store before meeting us back at her place. We than had brownies (fudge-like which is not Logan's favorite) and ice cream and Logan opened up his presents. He got a propane lantern and swiss rolls which I have asked if he could throw away but he has said that he will take his time eating them.

After that, we had to go and get my sister, Breanna and her step-brother Carl and watch them for a few hours which ended up like an extra hour. But we went to get Logan's present from me at petsmart. I'll write about that in the next post. We than we back to our place and played RockBand Lego. She really love that one. We played until we where so tired that all we can do was watch t.v. until her mom got here. Than off to bed!

Kaya is Home

KAYA (Kalee Jones) IS HOME!!!!!!!!

I thought everyone should know. ^-^

She got home on the 26th of September. It was so great to see her again. I started to cry when she came thru the doors but somehow I was able to make myself stop. :P Anyways, after everyone left the airport we all head over to her place (Kaya, Kristen and Kaya's Mom, Marlene and me). We sat and talked about some of the adventures that she had and how her apartments were and everything.

Now most people know that kaya is like an older sister to me so I was so happy to have her home and I can't wait to do lots with her before she heads back to school in January.

4th Anniversary

We didn't really get to do much for our anniversary this year due to the fact that part of my family was over. We almost forgot all about it and had planned on going to the Rexburg Temple since we have not been for a long time. I also wanted to eat there too...but I forgot that temple didn't have a cafeteria in it. I remember when we was first sealed there. It was so beautiful outside! I may just have to go thru my photos again.

Making A Few Decisions

Recently Logan and I have been going through some troubles which are making us make some decisions. Some have been a couple decision or it has been Logan or my choice. And here is a list of them and what we choose to do:

1. Car trouble - At the beginning of the summer, Logan's car broke down. The bottom of the engine went out. Due to the fact that not only is Logan still going to graduate school, I still have to pay off my loans. We decided to not buy another one until we have some more money and knew if we was going to stay in state after Logan graduates or leave the state.  Also we found a hair-like crack in my car that would take a thousand dollars to replace but since Logan's car is some much like my model that we are going to use parts from his car to put in my car.

2. Infertility - Due to my health problems we still can't seem to have kids yet and we are kid of tried of waiting. So we are take my doctor's word and going on Clomid starting in October. We do not know if this will work or not. We all still think it would help out if I lost 40 more pounds. So....now I'm also getting ready to do a detox that I found out from one of Logan's friends. I'm hoping this helps out a little more too.

3. Student Loans - So Logan still has two more semesters before he is done but due to the fact that for some reason no one wants to hired me Logan when out and got his job back from Sears...only he's going to be working in Idaho Falls Sears now. With this we are hoping to get a lead on somethings but not liking now.

4. Still Looking for a Job - As I said before no one wants to hired me...so we kind of started talking about me going back to school and getting a different degree. I was thinking photography or graphic designer...it's still up in the air right now since we have a lot to look into especially with maybe moving next summer sometime towards the end of it. .
