Logan's 28th Birthday

Well, Logan's birthday started off just like any other day would by going to work. He did take off a half day for his birthday. I had to end up taking him to work too due to the fact that I had to get somethings from Walmart, Fred's and Rush's.

While he was at work, I started making dinner due to the fact that it takes all day to cook. He wanted a thick chili with sweet potato fries and broccoli for dinner that night. I also prep the potatoes and broccoli so that it could be cooked really fast. I will tell you that I wanted to throw a party for Logan's birthday but not a lot of people would have showed up for it so I decided that maybe next year will be better. Then I got thinking Sunday night to surprise him with a birthday cake. I would even make it a Halloween theme cake to make him really happy. It was only be a single layered yellow cake with orange buttercream and black chocolate buttercream. Here is a picture:

When he got home, I had to kick him out of the house so I could finish decorating his cake. It turned out pretty good and way too sweet for either of us. It actually surprised Logan that he needed to  have something to either drink with the cake or need ice cream. He ended up decorating the house a little for him (but a lot for me) for the Halloween. I couldn't do what I really wanted to do because we needed some other things for the house but I decided that I could just do it next year when I have a little more time to get this place ready for Halloween. Anyways I got Logan a game from the Mario series (he really loves the older games like Mario and Luigi) and a Halloween cd.

I started to finish dinner around five o'clock to make sure that we was able to get out of the house in time to make it to Aeris class that night. Dinner was really yummy but kind of pricy due to the fact we used organic grounded chicken.  After we ate, we grabbed the camera and headed to Aeris graduation class at Pet Smart.

Fun for Valentine Day

Even though I was so sick on Valentine Day with Strep Throat but I did have some fun with created some goodie bags for my nieces and nephew. I couldn't do thing with Logan because I was so sick.

It was weird this time having strep. I don't know if it's because I am older and my body has changed since the miscarriage but it was really different. I usually know exactly when I have it but this time I gotten a swollen neck, front and back, and than the normal symptoms came. I've not slept well since my neck swollen up. Last night, dad talk me in taking medicine to help with my neck. About 30 minutes later, I was able to go to sleep...for about 7 hours and I actually have my voice back.

Anyways, I made the same goodies bags for Natalie and Emily and as for Taylor and Oaklen were the same too. They all love their presents. Valentine Day is also Taylor's birthday. Amanda is planning on having a birthday party for Taylor at Leo's this Sunday. I don't know what the theme is but I know that she is putting Taylor into singing lessons. So I got her some cd's that have disney princesses songs on it and a puzzle to go along with it.

Oh...as for my present, I just asked for some white orchids. I hoping this time Logan doesn't kill them.

New Year (2013)

We didn't do much for the New Year. We was still so tired from Christmas. So, we decided to have a night to ourselves at home and watch Disney movies to pass the time. After midnight, I got really depressed when I realize that it's a start of another year and I still didn't have a child or one on the way. Actually it lasted for a few days because everyone was announcing that they are pregnant too. But I eventually was able to get pass it.

A few weeks later, my friend Brooklin, told me that it was our year! We will cut down all the extra weigh and I will be able to get pregnant this year. I really do hope so because I don't know how much more longer I can do this. Anyways, most posts for this blog and other ones too.

Christmas 2012

Christmas was a little different this year. My family decided to get together here at our place considering that my Dad is living with us for a while so he can find a new place. Also all of the siblings had gotten together and did pictures...in freezing weather.

So our Christmas really started on Sunday. I had thought of getting Dad a family photo of all his kids with their families would be nice. He had always loved the thought of doing family photos and we hadn't done one in years! We had also did photos for my Mom, Trina and Nana & Papa (some family friends that kind of adopted us into their family). We had trouble getting everyone there for the photos too, considering one of my brothers was in the Marines that wasn't going to be back until that  afternoon. We kind of winged the color scheme too. I wished we had more time to plan it a little more but all we could do was what we did. They turned out great but there was some bad ones due to the fact that my niece wasn't cooperating with us. We got the photos done in 2 hours and than we went back to my place and picked what photos we wanted give them. Here are the three photos:

For Trina and Lints (Nana and Papa)
For Dad
As for my Mom's photo...it was a pain. When we got back the actual photo from it being printed it looked so bad!! I had no clue if it was because it was from my end or Walmart's end because my computer ended up losing the edited photo. So I edited the same photo and sent it in and it came back with everyone having yellow teeth! But here is the third time...hope it works like a charm.

For Mom

After the photos were picked we went to Logan's Mom's house to plays some games with her and Nathan, Katlin and the girls. They were here for the holidays so we figured that we should get some time together with them before they have to go back to Cali for a while. We kept playing Acquire because Katlin really wanted to win, which she did on the last game.

On Monday, Logan had to work for part of the day and Dad had to go to the doctor's office for therapy for his back. As for me, I had to make dinner for that night when everyone came over (I'll post the recipe on my health blog here soon). Along with that I had to edit the photos so I could get them into the store to be printed off but I couldn't do that until I went and took some pictures for Amanda's family and this time Taylor ended up doing what we wanted her to do. Here are some of my favorites from her session.

Taylor and Oaklen

Steve and Amanda
I love how this one turn out to be.

After that I spent most of the day editing pictures so that we could get some printed off before Walmart closed for Christmas. Somehow I made it. By the time I got them in it was time for everyone to start arriving so I left Logan to host. When I got there I waited for a few minutes and when to get them...well, here is the thing. Out of the 4 orders, I only got one of them. The other three was lost in the process so I had to go back home and re-order the other three. While we waited for that, we had dinner with everyone and opened presents. About an hour before the store closed, Logan ran and got the pictures. Dad really enjoyed his family picture. He almost cried. I don't usually see him cry. But everyone was jumping Dad to see the picture because no one saw the end results.

We were supposed to go up to Oma's and Opa's for the Christmas get together but the roads were pretty bad until you got up on the hill. Amanda went home instead because of it, so Logan and I got a ride from Dad because his truck has 4-wheel drive in it. We was up there for about 2 hours. Logan and I ended up buying one of the last two clocks that Opa makes. After the party, we went home and opened presents here because Shami and Brea was being picked up at 9 in the morning. Dad also pointed out that we was opening presents at the same time as people in Germany do. It was pretty cool. In the morning the girls opened their stockings while Logan and I slept a little. (I only slept like 10 hours those 3 days.) Before the girls left, we got up to see if they enjoyed their stockings and helped them get their things together. Around 1, we headed to my Mom's for Christmas. We ate a little and opened presents. After that we went to Logan's Mom's house to open some more presents and spend more time with them. Carolyn and Joseph wasn't here this year but they said that they will be here next year.

I also have to say that I am pretty proud of myself. I only gained a pound during the holidays. ^-^

Doctor Appointment

I know that I am posting this really late but a lot of things have been going on since the beginning of the year. Anyways, on the 5th I visited my doctor for the first time this year. We had to wait for my results from the lab to see the results of my T3, T4, and TSH levels. Anyways, we sat and talked about how I felt over the Christmas holiday. I have gain 4 lbs from the holiday which I told her right off but she wasn't surprise about me gaining the weight but she was surprised that I only gain 4 lbs. She told me that all of her patients would gain an average of 10 or so.

Soon after that the office receive the results. My T3 and T4 was normal but my TSH levels were a little high but not by much either. My doctor explained to me that she was really going to work on my diet and workout route. She had me watch two movies off of Netflix: Fat, Sick, and Nearly Died and Forks Over Knifes. She than wanted me to look up a ebook from greensmoothgirl.com. These all talked about what we eat isn't always healthy and what not.

She also changed up my workout route a little. Most of you probably knows who Jillian Michaels is right...she's from the tv show called the biggest loser. Well, my doctor had me looked into her 30 day shred workout video. I've have done it a few time and it's only a 20 minutes workout but it kills me every time. She still wants me to do my aqua zumba class and the hydro-fit class but she wanted me to do the 30 days with them. I've still haven't figure out how to fit it in my daily schedule which is weird because I should be about to fit a 20 minute workout in it really easy.

We also talked about my weight goal. I told her that I wanted to go to 135 lbs. She said that was a good goal but she also wanted me to try to get in between 130 to 120 lbs. I don't think I will be able to but I will give it a try. So we talked about how much weight I should lose a week now and she wanted me to lose a lb a week...but I'm thinking that I'm going to go for 2 lbs a week so I can make it to my goal before we go to Puerto Rico in July. Last week I made the goal but this weight I've gained a lot of muscle mass so I've gain the 2 lbs back. I still have a few day before it's the end of the week but I'm working on it.

It's Finally Done!!

So...not this last year but the year before so 2010, I decided to make my little sister Shami a blanket. As most of you guys know I was still in school and in my last year which was the hardest of the years. Anyways, I finally finish it!!!! It looks amazing and I do have to say that for my first time make a blanket. ^-^ Even though I took so long on getting it done (which I feel really bad about) I am happy that I turned out like the way it did. Here are some of the pictures that I took (along with Shami in them).

Right after I gave her the blanket, she ran got a book and curled up in it and started to read. Fun, huh.

Craziest Christmas Yet!!!

So quick update on what I need to the last week of Christmas. I had to finish make some scarfs and hats, Shami's blanket from the year before. shop for Logan, my mom's scrapbook and a few other family members that aren't so hard to find some thing for.

I think the most important thing this year that I learned about Christmas season is to always shop earlier. I had started all the christmas stuff the day after I graduated from college and I can tell you now that I won't ever do that again. The holiday season is so crazy!!!
