Korey's Mission

I got email from Korey this morning. It's been a while since we heard from him, so I was over joyed to hear about what's going on with him and his mission. We also got some pictures too. ^-^ Surprisingly, I started crying. I'm so happy that he's enjoying himself. I'm going to post the email that I got from him so everyone can read about it. Oh! I'll also post the pictures. One of them made me burst up of laughter.

By the way, I still have some great news! I'll post it on Friday night, ok. Talk to you later. ^-^

"Things are going really well.  I am still in the same place but it sounds like I will be moving here on the 13 of April when we have transfers, because I have been here for about six months.  It is not normal for a missionary to have served in so few areas like I have, or at least in our mission.  Some missionaries will end up having up to ten twelve different areas that they have served in.  Lately we have had the priviledge to see two people get baptized in the past two weeks.  One of them is from West Virginia, she is a really nice lady who we have been working with for about five months now.  She is 69 years old I have sent you a picture of us at her baptism with two other missionaries that help to teach her as well.  The other girl that we baptized was 14 years old her name is Anahita (Anna) she was born in Canada but her parents are from Iran and are athiest.  Anna had a really good friend who asked if she wanted to come to seminary and church with her and that is how she found the church.  We actually are getting ready to see another person get baptized that we have been teaching fairly recently.  Her name is Niknaz I don't have a picture of these other two ladies but I will soon.  Niknaz is actually from Iran and she has only been in the States for about six months.  She didn't know any english when she first came.  She is super cool and loves the church.  Her family is muslim which normally is a big problem because in Iran it is not against the law to kill someone in the name of religion so it took a little work to make sure we could teach her but once we started she just started to do things on her own, for example she stopped smoking, and drinking tea cold turky which is pretty amazing because just about everyone else that I have worked with have had a hard time with that.   There is still a lot more going on but I unfortunatly don't have enough time to write all of it.  Love you."

My First Rock Concert with Logan!!

So a few months ago, we bought tickets to the Three Day Grace concert in Idaho Falls. Yesterday was the concert and it was a blast! I've never been to a rock concert before but I have mostly been to alternative concerts like Allred and Spiral Diary who are local bands in Utah. Anyways, it was such a blast! I was scream singing and jumping around. I do have to say Logan was lame during the concert because he didn't even jump around with me. Oh! And we took my sister Brooke with us because her boyfriend was going with his aunt, cousin and he's aunt's boyfriend. Anyways, the opening band was My Darkest Days...I have a tooth to pick with them..or rather one of the guitarist. I swear he was saying the f-word every other word. That's probably the only really time that I have been uncomfortable during the concert (I was prepared for some f-words but not like that). Anyways, when Three Days Grace come on stage, it was so much fun. They did so many good songs and they also did a drum solo and rap out to one of Emienems song (I think I spelled that wrong..all well ^-^). Everyone was singing along to every song. Anyways, I wish everyone could have gone!

Oh! I have good news! Update to come in a few days!

Update on the Moving Status

So we finally think we have decided on what place we want. There is still a chance that we won't get it but we won't know until tomorrow. Anyways, we are going to try our hardest to get a duplex! Weird huh? It's so huge! And there's so much room. I can't wait. I don't even think that our stuff is going to take up half of it. It has four bedrooms, a two car garage, two bathrooms and a basement! I told you that it was huge. The only think that I don't like about it is the kitchen is kind of small but I'll deal with it. With this place I still can't get a dog...I can't wait for the day when I can get one. ^-^ Anyways, it's located on Deloy street which is by Bonneville High and Rocky Mountain Middle School. I don't think I'll let my kids got there but anyway. I am so hoping that we get it! If we don't I think we will end up over by my Dad's house. There is apartments called Foxboro that we was also looking at which is by Hillcrest High and Sandcreek Middle School. It has three rooms and two bathrooms. Isn't that weird too? Somehow we ended up out in Ammon (which I also hoped for). Anyways, I'll update you all within a week about everything. Talk to you guys later. ^-^

I Got a Job and Internship and So Did Logan!!!

Finally!!! Last Thursday I was able to land a job and an internship! It's so funny how I got it though.

I got it from my old swim team coach, Sharon McGrath. She started an academy sometime last year called Acorn Academy. Anyways, I called her for some information for my argument speech for Comm about sanctioning swimming in the last three states that don't think that swimming is a sport. Anyways, I asked her if she had some good references that I can use for my speech. After we talked about that, we started talking about the academy and how it was going. Well, she started to telling all the positions that she need to start filling in and one of them was a Chef! When I heard this, I literally jumped off the couch and asked if I could possibly apply for that position. She said that I could and that she actually would love that and hire me on the spot! I was dancing in the living room and Logan got a good laugh out of it too. I then asked her if I could possibly do my internship also and she said why not. I was so happy that night. I was so happy that I was in bed by 10!

Saturday, Logan and I got to go see the academy. She also told me what she was going to do to the academy in the near future! It was amazing! She also explained how I would be doing my job and asked if I could teach the kids about foods and nutrient. I thought that would be pretty cool. I've never seen anything like it before. After the tour, I asked Logan what he thought about the whole thing and he told me that he would never have taken the job (for himself) but knew that I would love it since it had to do with culinary and kids. I'm pretty proud of myself.

As for Logan, he got an internship from the Idaho Cleanup Project. It's a good one because he can still work for his other internship that he still works at the Engineering Lab. Overall, we are doing great! I'll post when we find out where we are going to moving into.
