Logan's 28th Birthday

Well, Logan's birthday started off just like any other day would by going to work. He did take off a half day for his birthday. I had to end up taking him to work too due to the fact that I had to get somethings from Walmart, Fred's and Rush's.

While he was at work, I started making dinner due to the fact that it takes all day to cook. He wanted a thick chili with sweet potato fries and broccoli for dinner that night. I also prep the potatoes and broccoli so that it could be cooked really fast. I will tell you that I wanted to throw a party for Logan's birthday but not a lot of people would have showed up for it so I decided that maybe next year will be better. Then I got thinking Sunday night to surprise him with a birthday cake. I would even make it a Halloween theme cake to make him really happy. It was only be a single layered yellow cake with orange buttercream and black chocolate buttercream. Here is a picture:

When he got home, I had to kick him out of the house so I could finish decorating his cake. It turned out pretty good and way too sweet for either of us. It actually surprised Logan that he needed to  have something to either drink with the cake or need ice cream. He ended up decorating the house a little for him (but a lot for me) for the Halloween. I couldn't do what I really wanted to do because we needed some other things for the house but I decided that I could just do it next year when I have a little more time to get this place ready for Halloween. Anyways I got Logan a game from the Mario series (he really loves the older games like Mario and Luigi) and a Halloween cd.

I started to finish dinner around five o'clock to make sure that we was able to get out of the house in time to make it to Aeris class that night. Dinner was really yummy but kind of pricy due to the fact we used organic grounded chicken.  After we ate, we grabbed the camera and headed to Aeris graduation class at Pet Smart.

More Problems...AGAIN!!

I swear that my life is never problem-free. There is always something happening that we didn't expect or want to happen...mostly my health.

For the last month I have been really sick and it's not been easy either. Finally, last week I called into my doctor and let her know that I think that my medicine wasn't working anymore because I felt like it was the same as before I was diagnose with my hypothyroidism. Let me remind you what I have. I have been diagnose with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), Insulin Resistance, Hypothyroidism and a infertility problem. Right now I am fighting (still) PCOS, Hypothyroidism and infertility problems. Due to the fact that I know (well, thought) but my doctor said that it wasn't my thyroid and didn't really answer my question about what are mine options were. Well, she said that it's more likely that there was another problem. Really? REALLY?! Have I not gone through enough in five years but now I have to deal with it more. I am tired of one doctor saying there is this problem while others say there are these problems. Well, I am soooo tired of it. I want answers NOW.

Logan and I have both agreed that we can't take this much more. We want to move on with our lives but we can't do that due to the fact that my health is causing so much problems for us. We have decided that if my doctor after 2 years (and the only one that was able to help get me pregnant) can't give me answers or something that feel like should happen. We decided to see two more doctors. Well, an ob/gyn named Dr. Carrie Merrill because she heard about me and my problems and asked if she could help me out. And the other one is a naturopath doctor. This doctor may be more on the natural side (which is the best feeling in the world) but she specialize in hormonal problems and is my older sister's doctor when it comes to hormonal problems. Amanda has told me she has been amazing and so helpful.

Anyways, the day after I left this note to my doctor, she order some blood test. I got them done the next following day. I found out that she asked for hemoglobin (I think I spelled that right) count, blood count, liver and kidney functions, and a thyroid panel. Friday came around and I went to the my doctor's office to get the results and the first thing I looked at was the thyroid panel results...guess who was right! I think I would know my body by now. But soon after I notice that my AST level was low or considered low by 5 points. The first thing that came to my mind was "what is AST level?" So I started looking it up and found out is has to do with the liver. It is one of the two proteins that does a lot of things for the liver. Then I made a wrong decision on my part...I decided to see what can cause this. I will never do something like this again. There were so many freaking things that I just had to stop looking at answers. I can tell you that I will wait until I see the doctor at the appointment for the results. I will never do that again...unless it has to do with a pregnancy.
+
Anyways, my appointment is actually Wednesday at 10:30am. I will say that I am worry but I am trying to not worry so much. I will eventually figure out what the test results means anyway. I will post what will happen at the appointment and what decision we decided to take.

Our 5th Anniversary Trip

Yup that's right! WE have now been married for FIVE years and still have who knows how long we have together...actually we do...eternally. ^_^

Anyways, at first we didn't know where or what we wanted to do for our big anniversary. We have no clue what to do for it. So we posted on Facebook that we wanted to do something fun for our anniversary but something close to home so that if something happen to Aeris, we will be able to come home quickly and be able to get her to the hospital or to Logan's Uncle.

Anyways, we got some replies but nothing we haven't done before. So, Logan and I sat down one night and talked about what we can do. We came up with a few ideas but we didn't want to have to plan out the whole  weekend in case I get sick. So we decided to go to Salt Lake Area. We ended up stay at a hotel in Sandy, Utah and travel around that area and up north a little too.

We actually got out of town late...it was more in the afternoon than morning like we had hope for but who cares. We ended up making a few stops on our way out. Afterwards, we ended up stopping in Pocatello due to the fact that ISU owes us some money. So we stop, ate lunch, and than stop at the school to get the money. I, of course, had to wait for Logan to stop talking to Dr. Williams. We was able to get to the hotel in one piece. We went to the South Towne Center Mall in South Jordan, Utah which was 3 minutes away from the hotel along with a Super Target which made life easier for us.

I never really like shopping a lot but it was a lot of fun. I've been looking for an Asian wall folding fan for the house. I haven't really found one that I like until we hit the mall in South Jordan. I was so happy to see that there was an Asian store! You really can't find too many Asian stores around in this part of the States. Anyways, I was able to find a fan that I love! It is amazing. The design of the fan had three different colors that it has...blue/purple, red, and yellow. I decided to get the one with blue and purple. Again this fan is breath taking to me. We haven't decided on where to put it yet but it's going to make the house look amazing.

We also found a game that has two things that dad loves.

The following day we didn't get out of the hotel until noon because we really needed to get some sleep. After we got out, we went and had some fun playing miniature golf. Logan keep making jokes about me trying to actually play golf. He thought that it would be funny watching me hit people with the golf balls like I almost did in High School. He got such a good laugh out of it. We played two rounds the route for the Light House and the Haunted House too. He won The Haunt House route by 8 points and I won The Light House by 3 points. Because we went there we got coupons to go to cold stone for ice cream. On our way to the hotel to put the ice cream in the freezer, we saw the top of the South Jordan Temple. So I asked if we could go there and take a quick picture. While we was there, we ran into a great surprise. We ran into President Wright who used to be our branch leader in the single's wards. We was so happy to see him once again. And after he left, I was surprised. I realized that at every anniversary we always see a new temple...even by accident.

We then went to two different malls. One of them, we got some things for my nephew (hopefully named what they like the most). I will call him baby D. Anyways I got him two outfits that are so cute from Carter's store. I wouldn't mind going there once I find out and when I do get pregnant. I also got both outfits for cheap too. I also found an onies that I just had to have so I brought it with Logan's blessings.

After we walked out of the store, I realize that there are a few birthdays coming up...Amanda's (mine sister), Shami's and than Brooke's. So, I started to go birthday shopping and wasn't really able to find anything. We wanted to go to other malls and IKEA but unfortunately we ran out of time Saturday. So we went to Sunday after we checked out of the hotel. I was able to find a present for one of the people's birthday but not all which sucks. Anyways, I also found a vinyl store with so many sayings that I cried at some of them. Anyways, we went to IKEA and found some great things but we want to wait and figure out what we want to do with the house before we go crazy and buy things. It took us 2 hours to get through that store tho.

In the end, it was great anniversary trip. We had a lot of fun and time together.

Some Very Hard Times

Recently there as been a lot of people telling that they are expecting or that they finally figured out what they are having and it's been really hard for me (it's kind of hard for Logan but he's been more worry about how I feel then anything else at that moment). It has been even hard on me if I heard that they are having a boy. I am guessing it has to do a lot with the miscarriage I had about a year and a half ago. I had thought the whole time that it was a boy which doesn't help right now.

Anyways, I got so depressed about it and made a decision that I should just quit while I am a head of myself. What I am by that is to quit trying for one because I felt that it wasn't going to happen. Logan had to do a lot of talking to me before I was able to change my mind back to keep trying for a child. But its just so hurtful what I go thru and not a lot of my family members know what I am going thru. My dad is starting to get an understanding since he's been living here close to a year now and he sees me go thru the phases whenever these times happen. But it also doesn't help the fact that he also adds fuel to the fire too sometimes without knowing.

But recently I have been having this repeating dream at nights where I am having a child and enjoying everything about it. I am always so happy during the dream but once I come back to reality, it hurts a lot. I do want to know the joys of having a family but some times the pain itself is so hard to manage. I really wish it wasn't but I know if I don't go thru this then I won't enjoy the time with my bundles of joy as much when the time comes. In a way, I guess I know what the Heavenly Father felt when he sent Jesus to earth.

In may be hard for us in the end to get pregnant but our desires are righteous and true. In one way or another we will have a children one day and we just can't wait for that day to come.

Our BIG News

In the beginning of May I announced on Facebook that we had an announcement but it would have to wait until more towards the end of the month. Well, here is what it is:

WE BROUGHT A HOUSE!!!

I am so happy about this big event in our lives! It feels so good that we can move on with our lives now. I mean...I know that there are still more things that can change our lives but with the house we will have enough room when we start having kids which is great!

The house is really cute! It's a five bedrooms, BIGGER kitchen, BIGGER dinning room, living room, 2 bathrooms, a master suite with it's own bathroom with 2 sinks. To top it off, the basement isn't all the way finish! So we can finish the way we want too. We can even add on another bedroom if needed. It's a two car garage but it seems small but always. Let's just say we knew we love it when we walked in the house. The only bad thing about it was the small backyard but to make it better there is a huge (and I mean HUGE) park down at the beginning of the street with 8 soccer fields and a small kids park.

We had some trouble with getting everything to get from one person to another one while we was in Italy during the middle of this but it worked!

Day 7 - Lucca, Italy

We got up earlier today in order to make sure that we was able to be out by 9 or around than. Lucca is only a half day tour but it was better than not doing anything and staying in the room.
Anyways, it rained the whole day. My feet were soaked by the time we got to the train station which isn’t long at all. It also didn’t help that we didn’t really have an umbrella either. Logan’s feet weren’t really soaked until half way through us touring around. Also due to the rain, we weren’t able to take many pictures. It was kind of depressing because there were a lot of places that I would have loved to take a picture of.

Anyways, when we got to Lucca we were on the outside of the old city walls so we had to walk for a little bit to get to the old city where there was a lot of things to see. We didn’t get to see many of the cool things but we got to some pretty cool ones. The wall themselves are pretty cool as well. As we walked into the gate (which is called Saint Maria’s Gate) we saw this fountain that was pretty.  After that we walked down a street and arrived in one of the plazas. It was called “Plazza Napoleone”. There was this statue of a woman (which was clothed gratefully). The details on this statue were kind of funny. There were turtles in the pillars around the statue. Here is a picture below:

We then saw one of the cathedrals called “St. Michael Church” and the Square around it. There was a few museums in this area but they all cost money and we was really trying on not spending a whole lot of money. We did take a few pictures of the outside of this church. It was kind of pretty.

Another thing that we went and saw was called the Tower of Guinigi or Plazzo Guinigi. This tower is kind of like the Tower of Pisa but instead of having bells at the top, there were oak trees. I am not sure why they did trees instead of bells but it sure was pretty. We climbed the 130 stairs to the top (which by the way, I was holding onto the handrail with my dear life) and took some pictures of the view of Lucca. It was breathe-taking! I am hoping to make a panoramic picture with most of the pictures that I took up there. I also caught a picture of Logan looking out across the town. Logan and I both agree this was our favorite thing in Lucca to visit.

We visited more places than decided to eat lunch before it got too late. Logan really wanted pizza so we went to a pizza place. We both ordered a calzone (which means folded pizza) and this is what we got:

We both looked at each other and couldn’t believe how big they were. Logan was able to finish his off (of course) and I was only able to eat about a quarter of what there was. Logan later finished mine off but I still can’t believe that they are that big. And another weird detail is that they put the sauce on the top of the calzone too. We than headed out and visited more place and grabbed more gelato (I don’t think I will get enough of the ice cream here!). By this time I was just miserable and wanted to head back to the hotel because my feet started going raw. So we than decided to go back to the hotel for the night.

Day 6 - Conference Again and Tour of Pisa

Logan had part of today for the conference while the other part was for touring Pisa.

We walked about 20 minutes from the hotel to see the leaning tower of Pisa! It was so busy. There is a market place right before you go through the gate to get to the tower, cathedral, Baptistry and cemetery (along with many museums around them). Here are some pictures:

There was so much in this plaza to do. There was also a lot of gift shops with so many neat things. I just felt bad that we couldn't take more back with us than what we got for family. I will say this tho...I don't think I'll every go into another cathedral in Italy. This one had a glass coffin in it with a dead person in it (take note: the person was important to them) and than on the other side of the cathedral there was a skull in a small glass box. It creeps me out so  much! Don't get me wrong...dead body don't really scary me...its just the fact that it was on show-case for the whole world to see.

We decided not to go up the leaning tower because you had to get to the top and back down within 30 minutes. I did find it pretty cool how it was leaning. We went to all the museums too. It was so much fun. On the way, back Logan got a spicy chicken Doner Kebab and I got some gelato ice cream.

Day 5 of Trip - Conference Day for Logan

Well today isn't every eventful for me. I actually was in the hotel most of the day or walking around on the property of the hotel so I wasn't sitting the whole time. I also slept too...I really love the fact that there are huge curtains in our room which helps with keeping the light out during the day.

Most of the day, Logan was doing things for the conference. In the morning he had a breakfast to go to due to the fact that it talked to the people who was presenting and let them know some things before hand. Logan didn't like the breakfast that they had there beside the eggs (we think that the eggs that are served here are just liquid yolks...don't really have any taste to them). So he came back and had another breakfast here at the hotel (which mostly consist of most pastries here at this hotel).

Anyways, Logan has gotten back his reasons of his talk and everything was great. He was so worry about how it went. But the same thing happen with one of his finals and he wouldn't believe me that he will have a great grade until he got the results. It made him fell better.

More updates to come soon. And pictures...I promise.

Day 4 - Walking by the River Again

We only really didn't do anything on this day due to the fact that Logan had to practiced for his talk and I kept passing out due to the jet lag and not being able to sleep at night.

Even though we are here Logan still has a lot of work to do. It has mostly been with ISU but he also has to study for his new job because of the fact he still doesn't really know much about metals but than again he probably won't do that until we are on our long flight back to the US. Anyways, for the most of this day he practice and figured out what other talks that he wanted to go to.

When I was finally awake and we got ready and head for the grocery store. We were so hungry! Now remember we wasn't even going to get food from down stairs because we didn't really like it. So we head out and caught the bus for most of the way there and walk the other half. It was so packed when we got there. I think it was worst than Walmart! Anyways, we had to guess what to do and we was lucky that we did pretty ok besides the fact that you weigh your produces and get a sticker for them instead of using a number like we do. After we got everything that we needed, we had to wait in line for more than 30 minutes. We was also lucky that the lady as the check-out could speak English.

Afterwards we walked back on foot the whole way (about 50 minutes) due to the fact that the bus had stop working before we even checked out of the store. So we was lucky to walk besides the river again at night. It's so pretty walking that river. I just wish I had though of taking my camera to get a night view picture...maybe before leave we will go and get one.

Well, that's it about today. More updates to come really soon.

Day 1, 2 and 3 of Pisa Trip - Traveling to Pisa

Well, it's been a really busy schedule for us. We took two days to get here. It was so much fun.

Day 1 was on Thursday May 9th. We had a lot to do the day that we headed to the Airport Inn Hotel in Salt Lake City. I had to 1)finish packing everything, 2) go see Dr. Wheeler for my appointment, and 3) finish Daniel and Kala's wedding cake.

As for the packing, I had most of it done so I wasn't really worried about it. I had most of the clothes packed the night before and all that really needed to be put in the bags was hygiene. As for the wedding cake...that was a different story. I had gotten both layers buttercream and fondant on it but I still had a lot of details to do. And they were tiny deals. It was my first time using royal icing. I was so glad that it turned out and I was able to use it. Although, as I was doing the last step of the wedding, I noticed that the dust wasn't coloring like it was suppose to be. I had asked a lot of people about what dust to use and everything...I guess I was told the wrong one because it gave it a gray shimmer. I had to call up Daniel's mom, Karen because I didn't have Kala's phone number to get a hold of her about the cake. Lucky Karen kind of knew how we was short on hand for time and just asked me to take the royal icing off that had the dust on it and just redo those details.

As for the appointment with Dr. Wheeler...I am kind of surprised in a good way but not at all surprised about anything else. She had finally said to try the natural progesterone cream (that's what surprised us...only a tiny bit). What didn't surprise us at all was the fact that she had no clue why exactly we want to do it and what it can do for me. She is pretty much putting this in my hands for about 6 months and wants an update at the end of it. She also wants to put me back on Clomid after the cream...I don't know if I am very for this considering that it was making me so sick a few months ago. I also have to schedule another appointment to see her in about 6 months. I am just hoping that the progesterone cream works for me. I see a lot of the benefits of taking it but it's kind of sad that I and Logan can understand why this would work but not my doctor. I guess life is different for everyone in a way.

Day 2 was filled with flights. We ended up going to SLC airport around 8:45 am and waited for the first flight for a little under 2 hours.Than we jumped over to LA, California for about 80 minutes. The flight itself was about an hour and thirty minutes. During the 80 minutes, we had a 30 minute walk to the other side of the terminal, go thru security again and find lunch and postcards for our nieces. We was very lucky to get there about 10 minutes before we was called onto the plane. The flight time from LA, California to Amsterdam, Netherlands was about 10 hours. The funny part of the whole thing is that I only slept about 20 minutes at the most on this flight. Logan didn't get any sleep at all. He did try to towards the end of the flight but than the lights were turned on so he gave up on it. We wasn't bored at all during this jump. We had brought stuff to do and they had stuff to do too which was great! We landed in the Amsterdam, Netherlands at 9:05am. It was very green...probably due to all the rain and it was a little cold too. When we got off the plane we asked where our next gate was. But to our amazement we was told the wrong gate. It was the wrong gate but it had a flight for Pisa, Italy earlier than when we had to leave. We had a lay-over for 4 hours. Our final jump was from Amsterdam, Netherlands to Pisa, Italy. This one was a quick one too in a way. I read most of the way there but towards the end I felt asleep for about 10 minutes. When we got our bags, we went out front to find a bus/taxi to take us to the hotel. I don't think I really like Italian drivers...I was so scared with the way the guy was driving. I swear we almost got in an accident a few times. We got here at the hotel and got the room (which by the way is lovely) and felt asleep for about 2 hours. We went downstairs to eat dinner in the restaurant that was located in the hotel. It was such a disappointment. We can literally swear we will not go there again. After to dinner we came back upstairs to our room and fell sleep.

Day 3 was pretty bored for us in a way. We pretty much got up and ate breakfast and went back to sleep until about 2:30pm (that's pretty much how much jet lag we have).  Logan actually did paper work while I slept.  At that time we got up and got ready to Skype everyone for Mother's Day. Let's see, we (in Italy) talked to Amanda (in Denmark), Kate and Nathan (in California), Carolyn and Joseph (in Utah) and Barbara (in Idaho). We talked for about 2 hours and 25 minutes. It was amazing to have everyone on Skype. After talking to them we left to have Logan register for the conference and get some groceries for we can eat food.  With our luck, the grocery store was closed on Sunday, which is nice to see although it left us without food. So we walked all the way there to find that out. So we walked back to get on a bus but come to find out (again) the bus had stop working at 8:45 pm. So that meant that we needed to get back to the hotel by walking back. It was beautiful at night tho. I wished that I had brought a camera with me when we left but we thought it was going to be quick and wouldn't need it. On the way back, we stopped at a panini (sandwich) store and got dinner (I can pretty much tell you that I will need to do a quick 3 day juicing detox because of this trip...I feel like I've already gain all those pounds that I lost.). One of the weird parts of today was that Logan received a gift from the conference...it was a bottle of (from what I can see) good wine, olive oil, jam and a small bag of biscotti bread. I don't know if you guys found it as funny as we do. But we plan on taking the wine home and giving it to some family friends of mine. I'm betting that I will become their favorite...just kidding. ^-^ Another thing, Logan has this really fancy dinner that he has to go to on Wednesday night at Corsini Palance in Florence, Italy. Well, to come to find out...I didn't know that it was fancy...to the point that I needed a nice shirt to wear. So now we have to go find one either tomorrow and Wednesday before we leave.

That's pretty much it for these last 3 days. Unfortunately it was Korey's birthday, and I wasn't able to get him anything before we left. Also on the 14 is my niece's birthday, Natalie's, and we lucked out and found her something the night before we left.

Logan's Great News

Logan had gotten great news this last Friday. I can finally talk about it now that all of this family knows about it. ^-^

It all started when Logan started looking around for a job for when he finished his master. Recently he got an interview with INL at NRF. I through he would have a great chance in getting a job but he has yet gotten a call and there has been a lot of people laid off at the site so he also had to fight for the job.

Later he told me that he had a strong impression that he wasn't going to get that job. He felt more like it was a remind how to do an interview and what you should do and what you shouldn't do. It didn't really tell me this until last week. He was afraid that it would stressed me out more. I would have I think in a way but it's part of getting a job.

He recently starting applying again for a job. He sent out a lot of resumes on the 4th. The following Monday, he got a call asking if it would be ok to do a phone interview with him. Logan accepted. The phone interview went so well that they asked him to come in and have a in-person interview that Thursday. He told me about how it went and I got the feeling of "this is going to be his job". It made me happy.

They told him that it would take about a week to get an answer to see if he will be working...the next day he got the job! It was so calming! We now know that we will be living in Idaho Falls for a long time now. We now can also start planning things...which makes life so much easier for us. He will be starting maybe Tuesday. If not than, it will be Thursday. He will be starting as part time until we get back from Italy and he will be switched over to full time.

I am so happy that he finally got himself a job and he will enjoy going to work every day.

Called In Early

This morning started with me waking up to a strong impression that I should get a hold of an old friend. Funny things is, I haven't heard from her since she was married. I also have no contact number or address...besides her mom's address and I don't think her mom really like me at the moment for some reason.

Anyways, after I got right out of bed, the Dr. office asked if I wanted to reschedule to an early time like 11:30 or noon. So I picked 11:30. I let Logan know considering that he was going with me to the appointment. We got there and got to business.

Dr. Wheeler said that my thyroid is better than it has been for a long time but than again she is confused to why my thyroid not going down. So she started to talk to us about iodine replacement therapy for my thyroid. She thinks that there is a possibility that I am low on iodine. I guess iodine helps the thyroid in a way but I am not sure how yet. More studying for me! She wants me to start taking iodine once a day (just a drop...I guess a drop has 500mg of iodine in it...) and she wants me to go on the gluten-free diet (for 3 months) and see if I have a gluten problem. She said that gluten problems and infertility are common together. I don't know if that's true but whatever. I am willing to try about anything natural over western medicine.  She also having me read up on the iodine therapy from a Dr. Brownstein.

After she talked about that, Logan and I asked about the low progesterone. At first, she was a little confused to the reason why we was asking about it until we told her what we found out. She than started asking me questions about my cycle. Come to find out that she did know everything that was going on with my cycles (every pcos woman symptoms are different and no one is the same). So we (Logan and I) talked more about the symptoms and what the natural progesterone cream can do for me. From the appointment, it sounded like she didn't even considered that I am be low in progesterone but now she is wondering if I am low in both estrogen and progesterone. She is willing to try the NPC if I am low on progesterone.

So now we are looking at 2 things: 1) We need to figured out if the problem is hormonal or just my thyroid or both and 2) get me off of all the medicines due to the fact I have a hard time with them.

The funniest part about the appointment today was when I told her about what Dr. Leavitt was planning on doing. She was so annoyed with him. She told me not to even worry about going back for a while. She wants to get down the problem sooner than later and Dr. Leavitt was just starting at the beginning which I have already done.

Later Logan and I went to the public library and checked out some books on gluten-free diet and meals along with one on progesterone. We also ordered some books that we wasn't able to get at the library. We will be getting those books next Tuesday. Logan and I both think that we are heading in the right direction and that soon we will figure out what is the really problem behind everything that's going on.

My next appointment is on May 9th. Before than I have to get a lot of blood test done. One is to check my thyroid levels (like normal), one to check to see if my thyroid is being attacked by my body, and one for checking my progesterone level.

Lots is going on. I just hope it's figured out soon!

Happy Birthday Logan!

Today is Logan's 27th birthday! He's so close to being 30 (it's a joke between Kaya, Logan and I)!

AS for the present that I got him, I got him a goldfish. Recently, his favorite two died a week apart and he was really depressed about it. So I told him that I would get him a goldfish.

Last night we headed to PetSmart (just because we know that they have better goldfish than most places). And here is his new little friend!!!

Meet Pumpkin Patch!!! Pumpkin for short.
Last year, Barbara brought some more fishes for him...I don't think I've took a picture and posted so here they are. I didn't get one of the sucker fish.

The fish on the right is Pumpkin and that's the other fish on the left ( it has...like 3 names)

And meet the biggest fish in the tank as of now. I've names it Snow...Logan doesn't know that yet.

One Busy Saturday

Saturday was so busy!!! We had so much to do and things that are happening this next few months.

Let's see, the day started off wrong. Logan forgot to finished setting the alarm clock and we ended up getting up over more than an hour. We was actually cutting it to two hours too. So we got up and Logan run to the bathroom and I made breakfast for us. As soon as I finished, I hurried up and jumped in the shower myself. We was suppose to be at our church building at 9:30am but we actually didn't get there until 10 o'clock. We are in the primary. We teach the sunbeams and we was practicing for the Primary Program that was today. (Because of the Primary Program I wasn't able to go to see Kaya's Homecoming talk...I felt bad. At least she understand why). We even got out of there late because they were having trouble getting the pizza there. And I am proud to say that I did not take a piece of pizza. Logan had a piece...I let him considering he has already lost 20 lbs from the last 2 1/2 months. We got home about 1 o'clock that afternoon.

As soon as we got home, we had to start getting ready to be a the temple by 1:30. Logan's sister Amanda was getting her endowments. Before getting there, we headed to subway and had a small lunch. We got there about 15 minutes earlier than planned and found out that Logan's mom left her camera at home. So we went to her house (which is 5 minutes away from the temple) and picked it up and was soon back at the temple. By the time we got back, it was time to head in. Amanda's good friend Jason and his mom came for it. It was really nice. Every one that came was us, Barbara, Carolyn, Amanda, Jason and his mom ( don't know her name yet).  I always seems to get experiences of some type of emotions whenever I go through a session or a sealing. With the recent struggles, I ask the Lord for help but I got something so surprising that I was so happy that I was crying to the point I had snot running everywhere. I was so embarrassed!!!!

I was able to clean up and was the last one out. As soon as we got out of the temple we took a few pictures for the experience. Amanda again told us about how her mom said to take a few pictures of us (Logan's Mom is always the one taking the pictures....so when we heard about this we were all surprised). Afterwards, we (Jason, Amanda, Carolyn, Barbara, Logan and I) went to Apple bee's for dinner. Later, Barbara dropped off Jason and ran to the store before meeting us back at her place. We than had brownies (fudge-like which is not Logan's favorite) and ice cream and Logan opened up his presents. He got a propane lantern and swiss rolls which I have asked if he could throw away but he has said that he will take his time eating them.

After that, we had to go and get my sister, Breanna and her step-brother Carl and watch them for a few hours which ended up like an extra hour. But we went to get Logan's present from me at petsmart. I'll write about that in the next post. We than we back to our place and played RockBand Lego. She really love that one. We played until we where so tired that all we can do was watch t.v. until her mom got here. Than off to bed!

10x Harder

I wonder why some times I want to involve my husband about getting health. Don't get me wrong, I love doing it with him but...he's a guy. MOST guys don't usually like doing things like changing your diet (especially when it comes to stuff that they love...like food).

With this diet I had to cut out some major stuff that he enjoys a lot but not only of his but mine too. I feel bad but I really am tried of being sick all the time and want to get health. As of yet this is the only one that I had great results within a week of doing it. Not only did I lose weight but I also felt great! I was up and about and ready for the day before 9!

But what really gets me is that every meal that I make Logan always ask for something that he knows that he can't have. It's getting really annoying and I just want to give up on the whole thing especially for the day too. I don't know why but it makes me so mad that I feel like I don't want to do anything productive. I mean...I let him eat pretty much whatever he wants if we are eating at a family's house so he can enjoy it once in a while. I really can't complain since he's dropped 20 lbs in the last 2 1/2 months (which is not fair!) while I've only drop the 7 lbs in the last month.

I just don't know how to get it across to him to how important this is to me. I even bought him a book just for him to help him understand how the whole diet goes (it's for the men who try this diet) but he has of yet read one day on it (due to the fact of school and work). I hope it gets through here soon...because the holidays are coming and it's going to get a lot hard now.

We Made A Decision

Today I went to the doctors. I was kind of nervous and what not for it being something that is such a big decision. Logan and I did decide to try the Clomid. Dr. Wheeler also talked to me how to take the stuff and what it does.

So now she is putting me on the Clomid. But since I have not had a period since August so is also going to put me Provera. Provera is more medicine but it makes you body have a period. So she wanted me to take the Provera to get my body going and than take the Clomid. I was also asked today if Logan has ever got checked. I was surprised when she asked. I would never thought of having Logan get checked since we already got pregnant once.(Don't take this wrong) But than I thought "what if that was just a fluke and what if that is the reason why I had the miscarriage in the first place?". I know that sounds bad but I really didn't mean it in a rude way. Dr Wheeler and I both thought that I should do a few rounds to see if anything happens. If not, then she is going to send us to a specialist.

I think the only reason why I never thought of taking it is the fact that I am scared of medicine recently. When I got diagnosed a few years back I was told that I wouldn't be able to have kids...and while I was getting my insulin resistance treated I have huge side affects, one which make it very hard to breath. I guessing that I am scared that something will go wrong again. But this is a big decision for us.

I also told my Doctor today that both of my parents were twins and she was surprised (I thought I told her once). She said that we may have twin even without any help one day than. But my next appointment is at the beginning of they year Jan. 17th unless something good or bad happens in the next few months.

Making A Few Decisions

Recently Logan and I have been going through some troubles which are making us make some decisions. Some have been a couple decision or it has been Logan or my choice. And here is a list of them and what we choose to do:

1. Car trouble - At the beginning of the summer, Logan's car broke down. The bottom of the engine went out. Due to the fact that not only is Logan still going to graduate school, I still have to pay off my loans. We decided to not buy another one until we have some more money and knew if we was going to stay in state after Logan graduates or leave the state.  Also we found a hair-like crack in my car that would take a thousand dollars to replace but since Logan's car is some much like my model that we are going to use parts from his car to put in my car.

2. Infertility - Due to my health problems we still can't seem to have kids yet and we are kid of tried of waiting. So we are take my doctor's word and going on Clomid starting in October. We do not know if this will work or not. We all still think it would help out if I lost 40 more pounds. So....now I'm also getting ready to do a detox that I found out from one of Logan's friends. I'm hoping this helps out a little more too.

3. Student Loans - So Logan still has two more semesters before he is done but due to the fact that for some reason no one wants to hired me Logan when out and got his job back from Sears...only he's going to be working in Idaho Falls Sears now. With this we are hoping to get a lead on somethings but not liking now.

4. Still Looking for a Job - As I said before no one wants to hired me...so we kind of started talking about me going back to school and getting a different degree. I was thinking photography or graphic designer...it's still up in the air right now since we have a lot to look into especially with maybe moving next summer sometime towards the end of it. .

August 16th - Doctor's visit

I will say this now...this one will be very short. I do not remember a lot about this one because Korey's and Stefanie's wedding was two days later and than two days after that we went to Cali to visit Logan's brother Nathan and his family (another post that I am hoping to get to).

Doctor will talk to me about another diet that I should try. It's called the Palio diet (I think that's the name)....? Pretty much I would be cutting out dairy and breads and eating lots a legumes (including lots of beans...). I've been trying it, but I always get headaches and bread always seems to make it go away. Why you may ask? To tell you the truth...I do not know. I think it may be due to the fact that recently I've been having smoothies for breakfast.

She also commented on that fact that my body is starting to portion out better. I guessing that's due to the fact that I started on Callanetics (which I have recently been slacking off on) and Zumba (which I'm slacking off on too). I've was eating a lot healthier but with all the traveling that I have done this summer it may take me about a month to get back to what I used to eat. I've also notice that my clothes are fitting really weird now due to the inches that I'm losing.

We also talked about fertility medicine. Logan and I have both decided to go on clomid for 2 reasons: 1) It will help with my PCOS problem of  not releasing the eggs and 2) We would LOVE to start our family. The doctor was going to put me on it right after that appointment but I told her that Logan and I wanted to wait until October - November time due to the fact that Logan has his second conference trip in Italy and I kind of wanted to go with him because it will probably the only time that we will ever go on a big trip like that before having kids. So the doctor and Logan let me make a choice on when to start it and I chose October.

That's pretty much all I can remember from the trip. My next appointment is schedule on Oct. 4th to make some finally decisions and to see how I doing now that I'm not traveling a lot.

Yellowstone Park

I'm so far behind on my posts. I have about 4 or 5 months behind...I feel really lazy. Anyways, I guess the first step is by finishing this post. ^-^

So I went to Yellowstone Park for the first time and it was pretty cool. We didn't see much animals but we did see some. Anyways, Barbara, Amanda and Logan took me to the Fairy Falls hike....it took us about 4 or 5 hours long. To be truthful, I have never been on that long of a hike. My longest hike would have to be 3 hours. Towards the last third of the hike....I was so tired. I had knots in my feet the size of acorns!!

After the hike they took me to old faithful. I thought it was ok. The geyser that we saw on the hike to
Fairy Falls. But they did tell me that depending on how it goes off the last time, it can be better too. Something like that.We also went to see the boiling mud ( that seemed really odd to me) but they were really watery this year is what they all said. We also visited another falls...I think it was the Gibbs Falls. It was really pretty. Logan is taking me back this fall at the end of September. He want to take me back for our anniversary trip...so I guess this year we will have to visit a temple that we already have visited. ^-^ It will be a lot of fun.

Puerto Rico Day 1 & 2

So day one was consisted of flying, running, flying and eating. We first started in Salt Lake City at  six o'clock in the morning...yes that is right! 6 AM! We got in by 6:30 am and then we looked around for some breakfast because we left before breakfast was even out. The flight wasn't bad...I just couldn't get any sleep and the flying part was better than last time too. Our first stop was in Dallas, TX. We had an hour before the next flight we we still needed to get lunch. So we asked someone where the next gate was suppose to be because it wasn't on the boarding ticket and we really needed to go to the bathroom. The Dallas airport was so huge that we had to take a train-like thing that to the other side of the airport and in the end we made it right when they were at the end of loading people. This flight was different just because it's the longest flight that I have been on. Which by the way was 5 hours! I was ok with the first and second hour of the flight but than I got restless and so I ended up take a nap (how....I do not know.) which took up an hour and a half which left the half an hour. Than we arrive here in Puerto Rico! ^-^  It's so green here!! After we landed, we landed and found our taxi to our hotel. We arrive and checked in and found out that Logan didn't read the fine print and so we
ended up with a room with two full beds with the view above. We talked to the front desk and they change our room the next day to a room with a king bed and we are located right above the front door. I also have to admit that the taxi drive was nuts!! I was holding onto the seat beat for my dear life!

On the second day, we slept in for a while. I woke up at nine and Logan woke up at ten ( the hour difference is by two hours...so it would of be 11 for me and noon for Logan). We didn't do much today because we was still learning what going on around here and all the places and what not. I did end up passing out in the lobby while reading. We also when seashell hunting tonight and found about a pound of them. We also found a sand dollar. We are planning on going early in the morning so we can get some huge shells.Oh...here's some pictures of the back of the hotel.

Here's our favorite picture of the day. I hope you guys like it too.
