My Small Hope

As most people know, I have a small hope to have myself a family with mine own children. With my recent discover of what is really going on with my body, my hope has grown but I've started to become really tired. I'm getting really close to my limit. Here I am, working until the point that I am so tired that I don't really spend time with Logan a lot or get my own things done. Through these 2 years, I fought to become healthier, in hopes to have a family and ended up discover that there is a small chance that I am not able to have children. This was a little over half a year ago, and here I am still fighting after discovering that I can actually still have a family. A lot of the doctors that I have visit keep telling me that I may just have to adopt to have a family, along with some family members. When I was told this I almost ended up in tears. Ever since I was little, I always felt that I would be blessed with my own children in the future. Don't take me wrong, I would adopt if I couldn't have children, it's just I want the feeling that I will have my and Logan's own blood in someone we will love. Recently I have been given so much hope. I've felt so blessed to know that I can actually have my own family. I plan on fighting until I can not fight anymore. And most of all I want to show my thanks to all the people who have been there for me in some sort of way, especially my and Logan's family, friends and my recent doctor, Dr. Laramie Wheeler.

And I hope that this small hope becomes a reality soon. Logan and I are awaiting the day that we will be blessed with our first child and we are hoping that he/she will come soon.

Good News about Health

Yesterday I went to my second doctor's appointment with Dr. Wheeler.

Just a short update on my whole doctor situation. About a month ago, I decided that I was tired of driving all the way to Pocatello to see my midwife. I would always have to schedule a 3-hr trip which included the drive there, doctor's visit and the drive back. Anyways, my sister told me to go see Dr. Wheeler who she is suppose to see but doesn't have insurances so she can't see her yet. Moving on...I scheduled the appointment and went to see Dr. Wheeler. She was very worry about my health. She told me that I shouldn't have all three of my conditions as young as I am. She is really worried about PCOS. She said that it mostly cause the other conditions and once I fix everything I should be fine. She also told me what PCOS really is. We all sat down and talk about a treatment plan and what-not.

Anyways,  there are 4 main stages to the treatment plan:
1) Decrease the Insulin - to help with this I would  need have a better diet with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and lots of water. I would also have to make sure my stress is very low...which is a really bad thing for me because I stress really bad almost about everything. How unlucky for me. As for what Dr. Wheeler said how I was doing on this stage is about 75% total...that I have mostly done that. The only problem like I said is that I really need to keep my stress level low.
2) Increase of Insulin Sensitivity - For this stage I would have to exercise a lot and do muscle strengthen training. Dr Wheeler said: I'm doing pretty much everything but I need to work more on the muscle strengthening.
The herb medicine is dietary supplement and she put me on was Metabo-Lift (3x a day one pill) which is the mixture of blackberry leaf mother tincture, urtica dioica (Nettle) leaf mother tincture, pure essential oils of bergamont, cinnamon bark, ginger root, grapefruit, lemon and peppermint (and boy!!! It is nasty!!!), Ultra DM Complex (2x a day two pills), Black Walnut (3x a day one pill) for the top stages.
3) Balance Hormones - I can't really do anything myself so I have some dietary supplement pills (again) which is Chaste Tree Extract (which helps estrogen and progesterone) and Saw Palmetto Extract (which reduces dihydro testosterone) . Them both are suppose to balance and also help with some of the PCOS symptoms that are annoying like no other.
4) Cleanse liver - which at the moment I am not doing. She wanted me to wait for a few months before doing that to make sure that I don't react badly to any of the other medicine I was put on. But the medicine that I will be put on Hepacleanse.

Also, there may be a chance that I have a tumor that is secreting testosterone which also can be cause it so hard to lose all my weight. I will know sometime next week about that. I have to go get some blood test done and see if the testosterone is really high and if it is I have to go get a CAT scan. I will let everyone know as soon as I can if I have to go into surgery for that.
And lastly, we got some good news!! We can actually start having a kid some time soon..like 4 to 6 months. It's really exciting. Actually I told the doctor that we wanted to wait until I get better and that I don't have all this weight to lose before I tried. She said that would not be a very good idea in some ways. She said that in some cases she's had women have a child and all the health problems reverse so she doesn't want us to avoid having one.

This is pretty much what I take both mornings and nights plus 4 pills for the afternoon. I fell like a pharmacy....

July 2 with Taylor and Oaklen

The Saturday before the 4th, our niece and nephew came and spend the night with us so that Amanda (my sister) and Steve (brother-in-law) could go to Steve's school reunion. We had a blast!! When they got here we finished moving the yard together and than they played in the sprinkler for about an hour. Afterwards, the kids and I made some peanut butter chocolate chips cookies for dessert that night after we ate our dinner which was subway. After dinner we went to the park over my dad's (we was hoping to see my dad but he wasn't home) and the Ammon Pool. We was there until about 9:45 and headed home because we had a surprise for them.We went and bought some sparklers to do when it got dark enough to see them. It was so funny!! They loved it but at first they had no clue what they was suppose to do with them. Anyways, here is a few pictures that I took that night!

He thought it was so funny sitting on the sprinkler.

I swear if I hadn't married Logan, Taylor would had found a way...she loves her uncle so much.

Can you believe how pretty she is? She's only 5 years old..can you think what her high school years will be like? I can...

I love my family so much!! Anyone would if they had those two kids in their family. ^-^

Monthly Weight Loss Goals

So I don't know if I blogged about this yet and I'm sorry if you have to read this again. Last month I made a decision of making monthly goals for my weight lost. I thought that I could lose up to 10 or 15 lbs a month and hopefully be done anytime from September to January... mostly it depends on how much weight I lost monthly. At the beginning of the month of June I was still 200. Now....191! That's 9 lbs. I didn't reach the month goal but I'm hoping that I catch up on it this month.

I do have to thank my husband and my sister, Amanda this month for all the help and support that they have given me. Logan went out and bought Zumba for our PS3 so I can exercise in between my jobs and Amanda taught me some things of foods (which I should of have known if my professor knew how to teach the class the right way). She taught me that what we need to eat are whole foods (she also has insulin resistance). So pretty much non-cook vegetables and many other things. I wish I had went to the classes she was telling me about but I could make it at all...

Anyways, a totally of 9 lbs last month...I wonder what this month has in store?
