Daxton Otto Danklefsen

I would like to announce that my handsome little nephew has finally come. This is Korey's and Stefanie's little boy. He looked a lot like Korey besides the fact that he doesn't look like a hairy ape as Korey did when he was born. There was a lot of family waiting there during the c-section. When we first saw him no one knew if he was the right baby. Brook even asked if it had a penis? Really? It was pretty funny at the time. Anyways, has soon as we was told that it was little Dax we all rushed to the window and started to take lots of pictures.

moments into the c-section

We had to wait a little wait for Stefanie to get comfortable after the c-section and do Dax's first feeding before we was able to come and see the whole new family.
Korey introducing the new family member to all the family there.

Unfortunately I was having a hard time about this point due to the miscarriage and wanted my own little miracle. And to top it off there was just so many people there that I just waited until it start clearing out (actually Korey came and got me and told me to come in). When Logan and I walked in there Korey told Shami to hand over the baby to me and Logan. I do have to say that little man sure did wake up my mother instincts. Moments after getting him, he just stare in the direction of my face (I know that babies can't really see at this point) and I felt like we bonded right there. After Logan took my picture and I handed him off to Logan. I wanted to see him hold another infant in his arms. (I have always loved seeing Logan hold a new born infant. He's just so gentle and in a way it lets me know somewhat what he will look like when we have our own.)

Logan's first time holding little Dax

Logan did hold him for too long because Stefanie's sisters came in at that point so we handed him off too them. I do have to say that this little man sure was a blessing to all of us that day. I can't wait to see what he turns out like.

One day off little Dax

Graduation For Aeris

Well, our little puppy graduated from her puppy class! She now is able to go into intermediate class.

She met so many dogs and got a best friend too. His name is Zombie! Yes that's right, Zombie. He is a full-blooded German Shepherd and is half her age. Nathan and Amanda a really nice people too.  Those two always have to find each other and play before class or most of the class they won't listen to either of us.

She now can do sit, shake, lay down, roll over, high five, some-what better walking with me, and speaks (she learned that trick in 2 hours!). She still listens mostly to me and has a hard time listening to Logan unless he has a treat for her. She is just a joy to have around. She is always amazing me with how smart she is. Her Intermediate Class Starts the day before Thankgiving.

Logan's 28th Birthday

Well, Logan's birthday started off just like any other day would by going to work. He did take off a half day for his birthday. I had to end up taking him to work too due to the fact that I had to get somethings from Walmart, Fred's and Rush's.

While he was at work, I started making dinner due to the fact that it takes all day to cook. He wanted a thick chili with sweet potato fries and broccoli for dinner that night. I also prep the potatoes and broccoli so that it could be cooked really fast. I will tell you that I wanted to throw a party for Logan's birthday but not a lot of people would have showed up for it so I decided that maybe next year will be better. Then I got thinking Sunday night to surprise him with a birthday cake. I would even make it a Halloween theme cake to make him really happy. It was only be a single layered yellow cake with orange buttercream and black chocolate buttercream. Here is a picture:

When he got home, I had to kick him out of the house so I could finish decorating his cake. It turned out pretty good and way too sweet for either of us. It actually surprised Logan that he needed to  have something to either drink with the cake or need ice cream. He ended up decorating the house a little for him (but a lot for me) for the Halloween. I couldn't do what I really wanted to do because we needed some other things for the house but I decided that I could just do it next year when I have a little more time to get this place ready for Halloween. Anyways I got Logan a game from the Mario series (he really loves the older games like Mario and Luigi) and a Halloween cd.

I started to finish dinner around five o'clock to make sure that we was able to get out of the house in time to make it to Aeris class that night. Dinner was really yummy but kind of pricy due to the fact we used organic grounded chicken.  After we ate, we grabbed the camera and headed to Aeris graduation class at Pet Smart.

Meeting Dr. Merrill and Making Plans

Well, I know this is late but at least I am posting about it now. ^-^

Anyways, it was really fast. I got there and checked in, went to the back talked to the nurse about my conditions and what I was taking and meet up with Carrie (I think I just going to call her that because it's easier for me). By the way, the new office looks amazing and it's so big too.

I meet with Dr. Carrie Merrill and I am so happy that my sister talked me into going and seeing her. Once I introduce myself and let her know that it was my sister who talked about my condition. She asked me a few questions about my thyroid and how it was going. I told her about having a adrenal fatigue now and that I was support it with some supplements. She asked me if I have taken clomid before and I told her that I had. After talking about my conditions and what-not for about 10 minutes, she told me what she wanted to do. She was going to have me get a HSG test to see if my tubes are block and to have some blood drawn for an ovulation assessment test. When I hit cycle day 10 I would be having ultrasounds to see how my ovaries do with producing follicles and releasing the eggs up to when I ovulated.

I have heard that after a hsg test that lots of women get pregnant. I love and hate that fact but who cares as long as it works and enables me to get pregnant. I will post later about how everything when.

Update on Health Problems

I will tell you that I always forget why I love my doctor so much. To tell you the truth I do not like doctors at all (if you couldn't tell). I don't know why but for some reason I just do not like doctors.

Anyways, this morning was hard for me to get up because I only got about 3 hours. I had to take Logan to work and then when home to eat breakfast. When I got to the office I was falling asleep in the chair in the front office and when I was back in the room waiting for Dr. Wheeler. I will tell you that I didn't even wait for 5 minutes before she got to the room. When she walked in the room she could just tell that there was a problems.

After we started to talk about, I explained what kind of symptoms I was having and everything that she need to know that I was doing for my health. I will tell you I felt like crying the whole time I was there because I am just so done with everything that has to do my health. Dr. Wheeler said that my body isn't responding to the thyroid medicine. She said that she wanted to up the dose from what I have been on. I told her that it was fine but I wanted to do something that is more natural for the body. She asked if I wanted to do the Armour Thyroid. When she said that my whole body relaxed but I didn't let it because I think I may have passed out in a way. We also talked about do part of the 5-2 diet. This has to do with eating like I usually do but two days of the week I have to only take 500 calories. I talked to her about maybe just juicing those days and she said that would be great. She than told me that there is more to my health problems. She told me that it is most likely adrenal fatigue. There isn't really a test to take but it's Ok because she knew from my symptoms what was going on. So she gave me a supplement for my adrenal glands to help them go back to normal.

I will tell you that adrenal fatigue is due to some type of trauma, under a lot of stress and many more things. So my doctor subject that I should see a counselor for anxiety problems. Well, I will be truthful. I have been seeing one for 2 months now. There has been many things that I probably should have been able to deal with things like the miscarriage and more that I have to help with the grieving progress that I always just pushed off when I needed to cry. I am truly grateful that Logan was supportive about the decision in the first place. He has even joined me in one the of the sessions and it helped him understand a lot of what I have gone thru and what I am going thru right now which is a life savior for me.

Dr Wheeler did say that it would be a good idea to still see Dr. Merrill and have some test done and see if there are more problems with my ovaries or tubes because if they are it will take some time to fix. I will be see her next week on Tuesday and I guess I will have to see what tests and the results are. I sure am praying for some answers there for sure too.

I would say that I am very happy that things are getting figuring out now. I know that there are times when I just want answers and I want things to just go back to normal before I started getting sick but there are things that I need to know or learn before I need to more on with life. We sure do have a wild ride for life.

More Problems...AGAIN!!

I swear that my life is never problem-free. There is always something happening that we didn't expect or want to happen...mostly my health.

For the last month I have been really sick and it's not been easy either. Finally, last week I called into my doctor and let her know that I think that my medicine wasn't working anymore because I felt like it was the same as before I was diagnose with my hypothyroidism. Let me remind you what I have. I have been diagnose with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), Insulin Resistance, Hypothyroidism and a infertility problem. Right now I am fighting (still) PCOS, Hypothyroidism and infertility problems. Due to the fact that I know (well, thought) but my doctor said that it wasn't my thyroid and didn't really answer my question about what are mine options were. Well, she said that it's more likely that there was another problem. Really? REALLY?! Have I not gone through enough in five years but now I have to deal with it more. I am tired of one doctor saying there is this problem while others say there are these problems. Well, I am soooo tired of it. I want answers NOW.

Logan and I have both agreed that we can't take this much more. We want to move on with our lives but we can't do that due to the fact that my health is causing so much problems for us. We have decided that if my doctor after 2 years (and the only one that was able to help get me pregnant) can't give me answers or something that feel like should happen. We decided to see two more doctors. Well, an ob/gyn named Dr. Carrie Merrill because she heard about me and my problems and asked if she could help me out. And the other one is a naturopath doctor. This doctor may be more on the natural side (which is the best feeling in the world) but she specialize in hormonal problems and is my older sister's doctor when it comes to hormonal problems. Amanda has told me she has been amazing and so helpful.

Anyways, the day after I left this note to my doctor, she order some blood test. I got them done the next following day. I found out that she asked for hemoglobin (I think I spelled that right) count, blood count, liver and kidney functions, and a thyroid panel. Friday came around and I went to the my doctor's office to get the results and the first thing I looked at was the thyroid panel results...guess who was right! I think I would know my body by now. But soon after I notice that my AST level was low or considered low by 5 points. The first thing that came to my mind was "what is AST level?" So I started looking it up and found out is has to do with the liver. It is one of the two proteins that does a lot of things for the liver. Then I made a wrong decision on my part...I decided to see what can cause this. I will never do something like this again. There were so many freaking things that I just had to stop looking at answers. I can tell you that I will wait until I see the doctor at the appointment for the results. I will never do that again...unless it has to do with a pregnancy.
+
Anyways, my appointment is actually Wednesday at 10:30am. I will say that I am worry but I am trying to not worry so much. I will eventually figure out what the test results means anyway. I will post what will happen at the appointment and what decision we decided to take.

Our 5th Anniversary Trip

Yup that's right! WE have now been married for FIVE years and still have who knows how long we have together...actually we do...eternally. ^_^

Anyways, at first we didn't know where or what we wanted to do for our big anniversary. We have no clue what to do for it. So we posted on Facebook that we wanted to do something fun for our anniversary but something close to home so that if something happen to Aeris, we will be able to come home quickly and be able to get her to the hospital or to Logan's Uncle.

Anyways, we got some replies but nothing we haven't done before. So, Logan and I sat down one night and talked about what we can do. We came up with a few ideas but we didn't want to have to plan out the whole  weekend in case I get sick. So we decided to go to Salt Lake Area. We ended up stay at a hotel in Sandy, Utah and travel around that area and up north a little too.

We actually got out of town late...it was more in the afternoon than morning like we had hope for but who cares. We ended up making a few stops on our way out. Afterwards, we ended up stopping in Pocatello due to the fact that ISU owes us some money. So we stop, ate lunch, and than stop at the school to get the money. I, of course, had to wait for Logan to stop talking to Dr. Williams. We was able to get to the hotel in one piece. We went to the South Towne Center Mall in South Jordan, Utah which was 3 minutes away from the hotel along with a Super Target which made life easier for us.

I never really like shopping a lot but it was a lot of fun. I've been looking for an Asian wall folding fan for the house. I haven't really found one that I like until we hit the mall in South Jordan. I was so happy to see that there was an Asian store! You really can't find too many Asian stores around in this part of the States. Anyways, I was able to find a fan that I love! It is amazing. The design of the fan had three different colors that it has...blue/purple, red, and yellow. I decided to get the one with blue and purple. Again this fan is breath taking to me. We haven't decided on where to put it yet but it's going to make the house look amazing.

We also found a game that has two things that dad loves.

The following day we didn't get out of the hotel until noon because we really needed to get some sleep. After we got out, we went and had some fun playing miniature golf. Logan keep making jokes about me trying to actually play golf. He thought that it would be funny watching me hit people with the golf balls like I almost did in High School. He got such a good laugh out of it. We played two rounds the route for the Light House and the Haunted House too. He won The Haunt House route by 8 points and I won The Light House by 3 points. Because we went there we got coupons to go to cold stone for ice cream. On our way to the hotel to put the ice cream in the freezer, we saw the top of the South Jordan Temple. So I asked if we could go there and take a quick picture. While we was there, we ran into a great surprise. We ran into President Wright who used to be our branch leader in the single's wards. We was so happy to see him once again. And after he left, I was surprised. I realized that at every anniversary we always see a new temple...even by accident.

We then went to two different malls. One of them, we got some things for my nephew (hopefully named what they like the most). I will call him baby D. Anyways I got him two outfits that are so cute from Carter's store. I wouldn't mind going there once I find out and when I do get pregnant. I also got both outfits for cheap too. I also found an onies that I just had to have so I brought it with Logan's blessings.

After we walked out of the store, I realize that there are a few birthdays coming up...Amanda's (mine sister), Shami's and than Brooke's. So, I started to go birthday shopping and wasn't really able to find anything. We wanted to go to other malls and IKEA but unfortunately we ran out of time Saturday. So we went to Sunday after we checked out of the hotel. I was able to find a present for one of the people's birthday but not all which sucks. Anyways, I also found a vinyl store with so many sayings that I cried at some of them. Anyways, we went to IKEA and found some great things but we want to wait and figure out what we want to do with the house before we go crazy and buy things. It took us 2 hours to get through that store tho.

In the end, it was great anniversary trip. We had a lot of fun and time together.

Some Very Hard Times

Recently there as been a lot of people telling that they are expecting or that they finally figured out what they are having and it's been really hard for me (it's kind of hard for Logan but he's been more worry about how I feel then anything else at that moment). It has been even hard on me if I heard that they are having a boy. I am guessing it has to do a lot with the miscarriage I had about a year and a half ago. I had thought the whole time that it was a boy which doesn't help right now.

Anyways, I got so depressed about it and made a decision that I should just quit while I am a head of myself. What I am by that is to quit trying for one because I felt that it wasn't going to happen. Logan had to do a lot of talking to me before I was able to change my mind back to keep trying for a child. But its just so hurtful what I go thru and not a lot of my family members know what I am going thru. My dad is starting to get an understanding since he's been living here close to a year now and he sees me go thru the phases whenever these times happen. But it also doesn't help the fact that he also adds fuel to the fire too sometimes without knowing.

But recently I have been having this repeating dream at nights where I am having a child and enjoying everything about it. I am always so happy during the dream but once I come back to reality, it hurts a lot. I do want to know the joys of having a family but some times the pain itself is so hard to manage. I really wish it wasn't but I know if I don't go thru this then I won't enjoy the time with my bundles of joy as much when the time comes. In a way, I guess I know what the Heavenly Father felt when he sent Jesus to earth.

In may be hard for us in the end to get pregnant but our desires are righteous and true. In one way or another we will have a children one day and we just can't wait for that day to come.

Starting My Own Treatment

As most of you know I have been really looking into doing natural progesterone cream. I have done hours on hours of studying this cream. I have read reviews, articles, and books about it. I have even went to a someone who does the cream. And now I have finally decided on what I am going to do. I will be doing this treatment mostly alone besides the few blood or saliva test that will be need to keep track of my hormones...maybe even a thyroid panel.

So basically I am going to suppress my hormone to make it think that I am pregnant. I will be doing this for about 3 to 4 months than letting my body ovulate again and see how it reacts to the change in hormones. I will not ovulate during the time period of suppressing my hormones due to the fact that the progesterone cream will stop ovulation. I will be applying the natural progesterone cream morning and night on my skin where there is less skin. This will help with the cream getting thru the skin faster to get into my blood which than can be taken to where it is needed. I will be applying a lesser dose in the morning and adding what I didn't used into the evening does due to the fact that the progesterone cream helps you with your sleeping problems. Also when I apply it, I will have to make sure that I rotate areas each time I apply a dose of cream. I will also have to not apply it to the areas on my body that has to much fatty cells because it can make it harder to get thru the skin to the blood. For me since I have the PCOS, I have to start applying it on cycle day 5 thru cycle day 28. I will stop applying it for a few days so that I can start my period and finish it...which in case I would start back up on the cream.

Now, I also have to get back to working out daily for 5 days a week...somedays will have to be weight training too. I will have to keep on top of this because the progesterone cream can help me lose weight because it's balancing out my hormones. I will also have to go back to eat clean now that we are starting to get settle in here in the house. I will have to make sure to stay on top of my weekly shopping trips.

Now its back to the waiting game for me...well, different one anyways. I just hope this works because I am at my ends. I will up date every month. Wish me good luck!

2 Becomes 3

Our family has grown to 3  members! I would like all of you to meet the newest member:

Aeris

I've been wanting to get a puppy for a long time and I can finally get one without worrying about paying a huge deposit for apartment. It's going to be a lot of work but we are loving her just like she was our child.

Anyways, Aeris was born on April 23, so she is just over 8 weeks. She is an Alaskan Shepard...half malamute and half german shepard. We got her in Blackfoot a little over a week ago on the 8th.at the time she was 6 weeks and so tiny! Now she sleeps so much that she has grown so big. When she's not asleep she is so much fun to play with. She loves to run, hop around (yes...just like a rabbit)and prances Charlie (my sister's male chihuahua) all the time. We've only heard her bark much...maybe 3 times at the most. When she panics she howls a lot...I am guessing she got that from her mother (mother was the malamute) along with her talking habits. She's had a hard time with potty training but is getting so much better now that she is understanding words now. Besides that, she is well behave...She doesn't really act like she is a puppy. She is very mature for her age and she won't go far from me when we are outside or some place else. Most of the time she just sits or lays right next to my legs.

Here is a video of Aeris playing with Charlie.

You will also see in this video that she has learned a tricked...walked the dog....literally. ^-^

Our BIG News

In the beginning of May I announced on Facebook that we had an announcement but it would have to wait until more towards the end of the month. Well, here is what it is:

WE BROUGHT A HOUSE!!!

I am so happy about this big event in our lives! It feels so good that we can move on with our lives now. I mean...I know that there are still more things that can change our lives but with the house we will have enough room when we start having kids which is great!

The house is really cute! It's a five bedrooms, BIGGER kitchen, BIGGER dinning room, living room, 2 bathrooms, a master suite with it's own bathroom with 2 sinks. To top it off, the basement isn't all the way finish! So we can finish the way we want too. We can even add on another bedroom if needed. It's a two car garage but it seems small but always. Let's just say we knew we love it when we walked in the house. The only bad thing about it was the small backyard but to make it better there is a huge (and I mean HUGE) park down at the beginning of the street with 8 soccer fields and a small kids park.

We had some trouble with getting everything to get from one person to another one while we was in Italy during the middle of this but it worked!

Day 9 & 10 - Saying Good-bye to Italy And Getting Home

I had actually gotten to bed at 3:30 am in the morning and woke back up around 7 and then 8. I finally got Logan to get up a little after 8 too. We went downstairs and ate breakfast (the usually).  After breakfast we had to pack our stuff due to the fact that we had to be out by noon even though our flight isn’t until 7 pm tonight. We had hoped that they would let us stay until 3 but they were so busy with people coming today that we really needed to leave. We finished packing around 11. We had so much more stuff…probably due to the gifts that we got for family members. Since we had about 45 minutes, I decided to send a few emails out and read a little.

We were able to check out without any problems (that made us happy. We were afraid that they would want cash instead of a credit card to pay for the hotel). We then walked to the train station which was harder then I though with all our luggage. Reminder, don’t walk all your luggage to the train station which is about 15 minutes away from the hotel. We caught the train to Pisa Center and then to the airport stop. We than had to wait for couple hours before we could get on the flight.
Meanwhile, Logan and I got a snack (Gelato…I am really going to miss it) and dinner. I had grilled chicken (which it was pan fry-ed instead of grilled) and Logan got pasta and raw vegetables (after the fact that I comment on how he hasn’t really ate any this whole trip). Right after that we got checked in and soon was on our way to Rome.

When we got to Rome we saw that we got there a few minutes early so we looked around for about 15 minutes and by than it was time to boarded the airplane that headed to Paris. Let’s just say this flight had about 30 people on it…and it was so empty that I had a whole row to myself. We thought that it wasn't going to be this empty but than again it was really late and not a lot of people in the airport either. This flight went pretty fast for me. I was reading a really great book (which I finished and now need to get the second book of the series).

When we got close to Paris I looked outside of the window. It was so pretty. There where so many lights. The best part about this is that we got to see the Eiffel Tower! I really wish that we could of got a taxi and go see it in person but that would cost us an arm and a leg to get there and back. So instead we just went to the hotel and slept for about 5 1/2 hours. I would also like to say that the Paris airport makes Dallas, Texas airport tiny! It was that huge! Lucky there we sign every and I could understand some french (due to my major and an old friend that I don't talk to anymore). Anyways, to get to the hotel we needed to get a taxi. We found where the taxis were waiting but the thing was our taxi driver didn't know where our hotel was! I have never heard of a taxi driver not knowing where they need to go. I've never been so annoyed in my life and to top it off he tried to charge us extra due to the fact that he got lost! Logan and I was not happy at all.

After sleeping in Paris, we flew back to Salt Lake City and drove home. The next day we spent most of the night packing for our new home!

Day 7 - Lucca, Italy

We got up earlier today in order to make sure that we was able to be out by 9 or around than. Lucca is only a half day tour but it was better than not doing anything and staying in the room.
Anyways, it rained the whole day. My feet were soaked by the time we got to the train station which isn’t long at all. It also didn’t help that we didn’t really have an umbrella either. Logan’s feet weren’t really soaked until half way through us touring around. Also due to the rain, we weren’t able to take many pictures. It was kind of depressing because there were a lot of places that I would have loved to take a picture of.

Anyways, when we got to Lucca we were on the outside of the old city walls so we had to walk for a little bit to get to the old city where there was a lot of things to see. We didn’t get to see many of the cool things but we got to some pretty cool ones. The wall themselves are pretty cool as well. As we walked into the gate (which is called Saint Maria’s Gate) we saw this fountain that was pretty.  After that we walked down a street and arrived in one of the plazas. It was called “Plazza Napoleone”. There was this statue of a woman (which was clothed gratefully). The details on this statue were kind of funny. There were turtles in the pillars around the statue. Here is a picture below:

We then saw one of the cathedrals called “St. Michael Church” and the Square around it. There was a few museums in this area but they all cost money and we was really trying on not spending a whole lot of money. We did take a few pictures of the outside of this church. It was kind of pretty.

Another thing that we went and saw was called the Tower of Guinigi or Plazzo Guinigi. This tower is kind of like the Tower of Pisa but instead of having bells at the top, there were oak trees. I am not sure why they did trees instead of bells but it sure was pretty. We climbed the 130 stairs to the top (which by the way, I was holding onto the handrail with my dear life) and took some pictures of the view of Lucca. It was breathe-taking! I am hoping to make a panoramic picture with most of the pictures that I took up there. I also caught a picture of Logan looking out across the town. Logan and I both agree this was our favorite thing in Lucca to visit.

We visited more places than decided to eat lunch before it got too late. Logan really wanted pizza so we went to a pizza place. We both ordered a calzone (which means folded pizza) and this is what we got:

We both looked at each other and couldn’t believe how big they were. Logan was able to finish his off (of course) and I was only able to eat about a quarter of what there was. Logan later finished mine off but I still can’t believe that they are that big. And another weird detail is that they put the sauce on the top of the calzone too. We than headed out and visited more place and grabbed more gelato (I don’t think I will get enough of the ice cream here!). By this time I was just miserable and wanted to head back to the hotel because my feet started going raw. So we than decided to go back to the hotel for the night.

Day 6 - Conference Again and Tour of Pisa

Logan had part of today for the conference while the other part was for touring Pisa.

We walked about 20 minutes from the hotel to see the leaning tower of Pisa! It was so busy. There is a market place right before you go through the gate to get to the tower, cathedral, Baptistry and cemetery (along with many museums around them). Here are some pictures:

There was so much in this plaza to do. There was also a lot of gift shops with so many neat things. I just felt bad that we couldn't take more back with us than what we got for family. I will say this tho...I don't think I'll every go into another cathedral in Italy. This one had a glass coffin in it with a dead person in it (take note: the person was important to them) and than on the other side of the cathedral there was a skull in a small glass box. It creeps me out so  much! Don't get me wrong...dead body don't really scary me...its just the fact that it was on show-case for the whole world to see.

We decided not to go up the leaning tower because you had to get to the top and back down within 30 minutes. I did find it pretty cool how it was leaning. We went to all the museums too. It was so much fun. On the way, back Logan got a spicy chicken Doner Kebab and I got some gelato ice cream.

Day 5 of Trip - Conference Day for Logan

Well today isn't every eventful for me. I actually was in the hotel most of the day or walking around on the property of the hotel so I wasn't sitting the whole time. I also slept too...I really love the fact that there are huge curtains in our room which helps with keeping the light out during the day.

Most of the day, Logan was doing things for the conference. In the morning he had a breakfast to go to due to the fact that it talked to the people who was presenting and let them know some things before hand. Logan didn't like the breakfast that they had there beside the eggs (we think that the eggs that are served here are just liquid yolks...don't really have any taste to them). So he came back and had another breakfast here at the hotel (which mostly consist of most pastries here at this hotel).

Anyways, Logan has gotten back his reasons of his talk and everything was great. He was so worry about how it went. But the same thing happen with one of his finals and he wouldn't believe me that he will have a great grade until he got the results. It made him fell better.

More updates to come soon. And pictures...I promise.

Day 4 - Walking by the River Again

We only really didn't do anything on this day due to the fact that Logan had to practiced for his talk and I kept passing out due to the jet lag and not being able to sleep at night.

Even though we are here Logan still has a lot of work to do. It has mostly been with ISU but he also has to study for his new job because of the fact he still doesn't really know much about metals but than again he probably won't do that until we are on our long flight back to the US. Anyways, for the most of this day he practice and figured out what other talks that he wanted to go to.

When I was finally awake and we got ready and head for the grocery store. We were so hungry! Now remember we wasn't even going to get food from down stairs because we didn't really like it. So we head out and caught the bus for most of the way there and walk the other half. It was so packed when we got there. I think it was worst than Walmart! Anyways, we had to guess what to do and we was lucky that we did pretty ok besides the fact that you weigh your produces and get a sticker for them instead of using a number like we do. After we got everything that we needed, we had to wait in line for more than 30 minutes. We was also lucky that the lady as the check-out could speak English.

Afterwards we walked back on foot the whole way (about 50 minutes) due to the fact that the bus had stop working before we even checked out of the store. So we was lucky to walk besides the river again at night. It's so pretty walking that river. I just wish I had though of taking my camera to get a night view picture...maybe before leave we will go and get one.

Well, that's it about today. More updates to come really soon.

Day 1, 2 and 3 of Pisa Trip - Traveling to Pisa

Well, it's been a really busy schedule for us. We took two days to get here. It was so much fun.

Day 1 was on Thursday May 9th. We had a lot to do the day that we headed to the Airport Inn Hotel in Salt Lake City. I had to 1)finish packing everything, 2) go see Dr. Wheeler for my appointment, and 3) finish Daniel and Kala's wedding cake.

As for the packing, I had most of it done so I wasn't really worried about it. I had most of the clothes packed the night before and all that really needed to be put in the bags was hygiene. As for the wedding cake...that was a different story. I had gotten both layers buttercream and fondant on it but I still had a lot of details to do. And they were tiny deals. It was my first time using royal icing. I was so glad that it turned out and I was able to use it. Although, as I was doing the last step of the wedding, I noticed that the dust wasn't coloring like it was suppose to be. I had asked a lot of people about what dust to use and everything...I guess I was told the wrong one because it gave it a gray shimmer. I had to call up Daniel's mom, Karen because I didn't have Kala's phone number to get a hold of her about the cake. Lucky Karen kind of knew how we was short on hand for time and just asked me to take the royal icing off that had the dust on it and just redo those details.

As for the appointment with Dr. Wheeler...I am kind of surprised in a good way but not at all surprised about anything else. She had finally said to try the natural progesterone cream (that's what surprised us...only a tiny bit). What didn't surprise us at all was the fact that she had no clue why exactly we want to do it and what it can do for me. She is pretty much putting this in my hands for about 6 months and wants an update at the end of it. She also wants to put me back on Clomid after the cream...I don't know if I am very for this considering that it was making me so sick a few months ago. I also have to schedule another appointment to see her in about 6 months. I am just hoping that the progesterone cream works for me. I see a lot of the benefits of taking it but it's kind of sad that I and Logan can understand why this would work but not my doctor. I guess life is different for everyone in a way.

Day 2 was filled with flights. We ended up going to SLC airport around 8:45 am and waited for the first flight for a little under 2 hours.Than we jumped over to LA, California for about 80 minutes. The flight itself was about an hour and thirty minutes. During the 80 minutes, we had a 30 minute walk to the other side of the terminal, go thru security again and find lunch and postcards for our nieces. We was very lucky to get there about 10 minutes before we was called onto the plane. The flight time from LA, California to Amsterdam, Netherlands was about 10 hours. The funny part of the whole thing is that I only slept about 20 minutes at the most on this flight. Logan didn't get any sleep at all. He did try to towards the end of the flight but than the lights were turned on so he gave up on it. We wasn't bored at all during this jump. We had brought stuff to do and they had stuff to do too which was great! We landed in the Amsterdam, Netherlands at 9:05am. It was very green...probably due to all the rain and it was a little cold too. When we got off the plane we asked where our next gate was. But to our amazement we was told the wrong gate. It was the wrong gate but it had a flight for Pisa, Italy earlier than when we had to leave. We had a lay-over for 4 hours. Our final jump was from Amsterdam, Netherlands to Pisa, Italy. This one was a quick one too in a way. I read most of the way there but towards the end I felt asleep for about 10 minutes. When we got our bags, we went out front to find a bus/taxi to take us to the hotel. I don't think I really like Italian drivers...I was so scared with the way the guy was driving. I swear we almost got in an accident a few times. We got here at the hotel and got the room (which by the way is lovely) and felt asleep for about 2 hours. We went downstairs to eat dinner in the restaurant that was located in the hotel. It was such a disappointment. We can literally swear we will not go there again. After to dinner we came back upstairs to our room and fell sleep.

Day 3 was pretty bored for us in a way. We pretty much got up and ate breakfast and went back to sleep until about 2:30pm (that's pretty much how much jet lag we have).  Logan actually did paper work while I slept.  At that time we got up and got ready to Skype everyone for Mother's Day. Let's see, we (in Italy) talked to Amanda (in Denmark), Kate and Nathan (in California), Carolyn and Joseph (in Utah) and Barbara (in Idaho). We talked for about 2 hours and 25 minutes. It was amazing to have everyone on Skype. After talking to them we left to have Logan register for the conference and get some groceries for we can eat food.  With our luck, the grocery store was closed on Sunday, which is nice to see although it left us without food. So we walked all the way there to find that out. So we walked back to get on a bus but come to find out (again) the bus had stop working at 8:45 pm. So that meant that we needed to get back to the hotel by walking back. It was beautiful at night tho. I wished that I had brought a camera with me when we left but we thought it was going to be quick and wouldn't need it. On the way back, we stopped at a panini (sandwich) store and got dinner (I can pretty much tell you that I will need to do a quick 3 day juicing detox because of this trip...I feel like I've already gain all those pounds that I lost.). One of the weird parts of today was that Logan received a gift from the conference...it was a bottle of (from what I can see) good wine, olive oil, jam and a small bag of biscotti bread. I don't know if you guys found it as funny as we do. But we plan on taking the wine home and giving it to some family friends of mine. I'm betting that I will become their favorite...just kidding. ^-^ Another thing, Logan has this really fancy dinner that he has to go to on Wednesday night at Corsini Palance in Florence, Italy. Well, to come to find out...I didn't know that it was fancy...to the point that I needed a nice shirt to wear. So now we have to go find one either tomorrow and Wednesday before we leave.

That's pretty much it for these last 3 days. Unfortunately it was Korey's birthday, and I wasn't able to get him anything before we left. Also on the 14 is my niece's birthday, Natalie's, and we lucked out and found her something the night before we left.
